Hi all,
i have a problem here. appreciate if anyone could help me on this.
last week i change from lcd to led tv and i found there is no video, just audio only working. on the tv screen appear: unsupported signal.

i replace the hdmi cable and tried all 4 hdmi ports but the result still same.

i also complaint to astro and they came to replace new decoder, resetting,do pairing but still my led tv hv no video.

i got some info says my tv didnt support the signal from byond due to hdmi cable provided is 1.3v. i need to upgrade to 1.4v in order to support the signal. hence that is not a guarantee to solve the problem. just a theory.

i really need point of view, advise, tips or anythings help from u guys here. cheers

Well..i always thought another sports HD was not on the card..didnt thonk astro would do it since they said only another 2 channel left for this year..definitely Supersport FTW..

what im thinking is that Supersport 3 might become like Sky Sports 3 in the UK..on match days when there are many matches played, Sky Sports 3 would be a screen showing multiple names and we pick which game we want to watch via the red button..when there are no matches, the channel will become a regular channel..

I think it would be a real shame and a real loss for Astro if they could not show all matches LIVE..coz they fought real hard in the bidding to the rights of all 380 matches..and they also had to go over budget to win the rights ahead of TM..they have the rights to show all the matches so why not use it..if they dont, sure they rugi big time..won the bid expensively yet not utilising their rights..

Fingers crossed..thats what Astro are thinking.. icon_idea.gif

I saw an August promo by ESPN which includes the new BPL season. Dunno if it's a mistake on the part of Astro but I am hoping (fingers crossed) that the main matches of the week would still be shown on ESPN/Starsports while Supersport channels supplements with other matches with their own presenters/pre-show. Other than this arrangement, I cannot think of how Astro is gonna broadcast all 380 matches live.

If u just cannot get asstro then its HDMI activation problem, if u cannot play other sources too then its a MAJOR problem ! I guess only Asstro hmm.gif BTW can we know what brand LEDTV is that, care to share with us ? It seems to be quite demanding !

yesterday my astro also very weird. I watch 6pm hokkien serial on 333, when near end, as a male character shoot one of the character scene, screen become black, then resume again on a few second. I thought this scene was censored, but after this programme, wonderful world, when the programme started, it's started with a popped-like sound, then screen turn black, with a little pixelate. after then, I watch 100% entertainment, either programme start or commercial break, it has a lot of popped-like sound, and pixelate...

I think this is my worst watching television lifetime...

First time HD channel on formula 21 ( 201 > 222) than other HD channel. laugh.gif

Also, kudos to Astro inst. for fixing my problem. rclxms.gif Now, i'm having full signal (255). Gonna wait tomorrow if it's "gone blank" again.

u sure u saw BPL on ESPN ad meh? Almost everyday i saw the ESPN promo..no mention of English football..they even put Sportscenter as a main attraction for the month of August..maybe u mistaken with the Star Sports promo..the Star Sports promo includes the Community Shield match between Chelsea n Man U..but no BPL..Astro FB confirmed that match is on Star Sports..

ABout ur idea of the main match on ESPN/Star Sports, I have already seen Nadi Arena (Astro's SPORTSCENTER) twice promoting Liverpool vs Arsenal 15 July 2010 10pm..unless Astro are doing their own match analysis and ESPN does theirs, i think big matches will end up on Supersport..

and Astro's new EPL promo (not the Torres one) has no mention of ESPN STAR..only the Supersport channel.. whistling.gif

That's why I said it could be a mistake from Astro. I believe it's a genuine promo since ESPN will still broadcast the EPL to other countries. Just that the dude sitting at Astro forgotten to take it off. Sigh...still hoping for the best I suppose.

Your LED HDTV didn't by any chance come from the US did it? Most HDTVs in the US do not support 25/50Hz video signal - ie 1080i50 or 720p25. B.yond's HD channel is using that frequency. Try playing a BD with a BD player. If all of your HDMI ports able to show a video, then that is certainly the problem.

Also, you may wanna check your HDTV setting. Maybe 1080p24 playback is forced.

I don't think LNB can be repaired on the spot, it got miniature circuit board and tiny surface mount components, it is easier to simply replace it with the new one brows.gif

i knew that could have been the problem..
dunno why la but lately this has been the number one problem among astro customers..the dish alignment problem
most people are complaining they get interrupted service at certain times of the day, everyday..
n mostly they have confirmed that the problem is dish alignment..
i dont recall any earthquake or tornado winds going around Malaysia though tongue.gif
