Does anyone have issue with the newly updated CIMB SG app? Currently having issue with completing the 2FA process for transferring money to other accounts. My usual CIMB SG to IBKR funding for 2FA process is using CIMB CLICKS SG mobile app via transaction signing. But after the update on the mobile app, I think I had to create a new digital token before being able to use it. The CIMB CLICKS website says that I don't have any Digital Tokens enabled even though I recall it being shown as enabled before their dumb mobile app update.

Currently, the CIMB CLICKS SG on web desktop does not have the option for me to do transaction signing (I originally had the transaction signing process available prior to being forced to use the newly updated app and new digital token), only one 2FA method via Security Device with very unclear options. This is the same if I use the mobile app to do the transfer, in which I'm stuck at the same 2FA process. What does the Security Device mean? Isn't it my mobile phone? I get the [EZM0101] Not registered for CIMB Security Device if I try using the OTP I get from the Generate OTP method of the mobile app.

I tried contacting customer service for hours and I can't even get a person on the line. This is freaking frustrating for me since I'm unable to find any helpful resource online to solve this issue. How do I get back the transaction signing QR code on the website during the 2FA process?

The digital token is in the CIMB app. If you just upgraded to the new app, have to reactivate the digital token there even if you had a digital token in the old app

Speaking of this, my office laptop has zscaler installed which automatically VPN me to Singapore. Will this cause the same account deactivation as per mentioned here which is VPN

I'm just saying that likely they suspended me due to the 2 above reasons mentioned. As they did not specifically inform me what I did to warrant the suspension, I can only assume as it happened (the suspension) right after I did both. Sorry if my earlier statement was confusing.

1. Take SMRT to Marina Bay station
2. Go to MBFC tower 3
3. Go to the counter and tell them you want to open a DBS Vickers and DBS Multiplier account
4. Fill up the forms, give them all the documents mentioned above
4. Wait 3-5h, yes thats how long it took me (I think mine was 4h+)
5. Remember to ask for DBS Visa debit card (it's free vs passion card)
6, After wait deposit SGD3k or more into your account
7. Wait 3 months from date of opening account
8. Open DBS My Account via online
9. Link your debit card to My Account, close your Multiplier account via online

Sorry I didn't read the whole thread.
Is it not possible to open the MyAccount straight away and skip the Multiplier account?

Today is the ten day since I submitted my application for cimb sg and still no verification call from sg.

3/10 - submitted application sg and submit linking request to cimb my.

6/10 - Linking approved by cimb my and
transferred sgd$1k to my cimb sg account.

10/10 - received email that Ive not performed one of the 2 required actions.

Replied that I have already transferred SGD 1k from my cimb my for e-kyc verification and also attached ic and utility bill.

Now I don't even know if I need to resend my ic /utility bill or not. Maybe not attached properly during first submission ?

13/10 - till today still no verification call from cimb sg.

Maybe that's why they put a notice on their website "expect longer processing time due to increase volume applications". How long do I still have to wait ?😂

Depends on the counter service officer. During my recent account opening in June 2022, they say Multiplier is for foreigner, MyAccount is for Sporeans/PR. I believe they purposely do this because too many Sporeans/PR who have jobs in SG can use multiplier to boost their interests while they rarely use the foreign currency accounts service offered in MyAccount. Foreigner may need to use multicurrency features often yet they push for multiplier account...

Anyway, you can open a MyAccount easily via the iBanking app once your multiplier account is set up. It took less than 3 minutes, just a few clicks of buttons.

My friend opened a CIMB FASTSAVER Singapore account through online submission. After linking the CIMB SG account in CIMB clicks and transferring SGD1 from CIMB, can the remaining SGD999 be transferred through BigPay?
Asking this because in the notification email CIMB qouted the following: " Note: We do not accept initial deposits from Remittance Agencies such as Wise, Western Union etc."

It's a good opportunity to test your gf's patience. brows.gif

Anyway, depending on which hotel/accomodation you stay, can ask your gf to wake up 2 hours later while you queue at MBFC Tower 3. A few hours of separation should not be a problem, yes? Or maybe jogging around Marina Bay first while you queue?

Sorry that I don't know what good places are there to paktor in SG laugh.gif Maybe can ask sgh for recommendation.

SG tourist spot easy to find online but specific for paktor I not sure. Usually ppl go Marina Bay Sands, Spore River stretch to see night scene etc. And maybe go Orchard Road also. Others are Sentosa, Spore Zoo, Jurong Bird Park etc not all ladies like to feed mosquito and getting sun burn etc

Go to The Gardens By The Bay - go in the evenings, there will be light and sound shows at intervals from 6.30 pm onwards...

Finally,... treat her to a romantic dinner at the Singapore Flyer, in the SG night sky. This will be romantic, bros,... trust me,....

You got 1 chance. Saturday morning. Come early as it's only half day, and those Sporeans usually working on weekdays will also join you on early Saturday to handle OTC bank matters.

You gotta come early tomorrow bro. Arrive before 8 am. Not sure if you can make it on time.

For the initial funding from CIMB MY to CIMB SG,

what 'purpose of payment' you guys chose under Transaction Instruction? I couldnt seem to find anything close to being 'personal transfer' lol
