 Opening a Bank Account in Singapore

Today is the ten day since I submitted my application for cimb sg and still no verification call from sg.

3/10 - submitted application sg and submit linking request to cimb my.

6/10 - Linking approved by cimb my and
transferred sgd$1k to my cimb sg account.

10/10 - received email that Ive not performed one of the 2 required actions.

Replied that I have already transferred SGD 1k from my cimb my for e-kyc verification and also attached ic and utility bill.

Now I don't even know if I need to resend my ic /utility bill or not. Maybe not attached properly during first submission ?

13/10 - till today still no verification call from cimb sg.


Maybe that's why they put a notice on their website "expect longer processing time due to increase volume applications". How long do I still have to wait ?😂

3 weeks to open a Cimb Sg account. 3/10 - 21/10

No calls. Verification thru email only.

You got to send email to them and ask for status update. Cimb Sg will send the mail that you didn't complete the 2 required steps even if you did. Just reply to that email.

We wish to inform CIMB Singapore only provide ATM card and does not offer Debit card/NETS /Pay Wave facility or online payment. The ATM card is solely for cash withdrawal purpose from the ATM machine at CIMB Bank Singapore or Overseas.


Please be informed that issuance of ATM card for CIMB Singapore will depend on the type of account you hold with the bank:

For CIMB FastSaver account, this is an online account therefore there will be no ATM card issued with it. If you wish to obtain an ATM card, there will be a one-time processing fee of S$10.



For CIMB StarSaver account, ATM card and pin will be mailed out to the registered address within 5 to 7 business days upon account activation.


In the event if you wish to apply for the ATM card, please contact our customer service hot-line as indicated below. Our officers will perform a simple verification and assist with your ATM Card request.



Should you require further assistance on this matter, please feel free to call us (open Mondays to Sundays between 9am and 7pm). You may visit our official CIMB Singapore website for our banking hotline number or reply to this email.
