Yes, it is very normal because setting up jumper, account cap takes some time for them. I used to sign up with 4Mbps plan and I able to achieve 1.5MB or little more but they ask me to wait 2 working days to get 4MB. I'm now able to reach 3.5Mb without issues.

So just wait smile.gif

You don't need to call 100 / Installer because normally they would tell you the same thing or ask you to contact the installer. 48 hours to get a full speed is a normal procedure as far as I recalled.

Just bear with them for another 2 days and I'm sure you will see the difference of your speed.

Thanks smile.gif

I called level 2 support but they claimed that they cannot upgrade my account although my port is upgraded by technician to 4XXX downstream which is why I'm getting speeds of about 1.5-1.7 mbps. My account is actually still capped at 1mbps mad.gif

They can't upgrade then who can? Now I have an open report and they passed it on to some department. sad.gif

Please provide the date & time you request to upgrade your plan to 4MB and when did the installer came over to appoint you?

About last wednesday via a reputable member here - ahcheap. He submitted my registration and installer told me he's done everything on his side and I need to make a report sad.gif
Installer came last Friday.

What should I say to my installer now to increase my cap to 5012 AND retain my DSL mode to FAST instead of getting INTERLEAVED? I think it's a great time now since I'm barely getting 2MBPS [Yeah, account is capped, that's the problem, but hey, I want extra speed once it's uncapped sweat.gif ]

Thanks, you're really helpful laugh.gif

If the installer already visited your premise last Friday, in logical manner - 48 hours ( 2 days) would be most likely Tuesday or latest by Wednesday but since it is now already Thursday but your are still being capped at 2Mbps, please call 100 and report to them.

Make sure you make some keynote to them that you are subscribed to 4Mbps package however you are being capped at 2Mbps which really doesn't make sense at all as SKMM / MCMC has compliance that all the ISP needs to achieve at least 70 - 80% of the desired speed which is 3.2 - 3.5Mbps.

Once you told them about this, they should know what they need to do on their end but usually report will be generated to pass this to the concern department to assist you further. As far as I know, there will be a special department which handle 4Mbps account so it may be better if you can have them to transfer you to them.

No matter what, just insist because you paid for 4Mbps and only getting 2Mbps.

Let me know how it goes smile.gif

wana ask everyone..
who is using 4Mbps in oug, taman bukit indah?
coz, last year i applied 4mbps, and the line totally sucks..
kept calling the technician to check, he keep changing jumper settings but still the same. getting inconsistent speed whole day.
in the end, he finalize that my area still not capable with 4Mbps and i downgraded to 1Mbps in the end as 2Mbps is not stable too...

So, was wondering, anyone in my area is using 4Mbps or Unifi lately? feel like trying again coz 1Mbps isn't enough anymore rclxub.gif
thanks!

Hi SnowFLak3s, please don't mind I intercept this... blush.gif

My installer did everything for me yesterday morning and he told me I should get my 4Mbps speed within 24 hours.
But until now, it is still 1.xMbps, so I just SMS my installer moments ago. laugh.gif

to me 4mbps is better than 2mbps as when do speedtest for singapore which i can get 38ms for 4mbps as for 2mbps i can only get around 65ms...so it prove to me 4mbps is better for my choice.

I don't get frequent DC so it might be location wise.

Depends on line condition and where are you stay... smile.gif
Basically, it is better to take safe plan, subscribe for 2Mbps first, then after you can confirm that it is stable and no frequent DC, upgrade to 4Mbps...
Step by step....

Just registered to upgrade to 4mbps at TM Point yesterday, they said I will be contacted by installer soon. I'm so worried about my downstream attenuation >_<. My connection here is always fast and stable (downloads & gaming) , maybe only one DC in half a year. Any comments?

My 1 Mbps account can usually reach 200 KB/s.

Be confident! smile.gif
If you read my earlier post, you should see my line was as bad as yours... sad.gif
But after request for 4Mbps upgrade, they changed my port or something, and my installer told me my line is very good. rclxms.gif
So, don't worry too much (or too early)! icon_rolleyes.gif
