I encounter this as well. But stress out, I NEED 4MBps, ends up they just let me sign it.

Below is my connection status. Any feedback on this?

DSL Status: Connected
DSL Modulation Mode: G.dmt
DSL Path Mode: Interleaved
Downstream Rate: 5120 kbps
Upstream Rate: 512 kbps
Downstream Margin: 13 db
Upstream Margin: 27 db
Downstream Line Attenuation: 15 db
Upstream Line Attenuation: 3.5 db
Downstream Transmit Power: 11 db
Upstream Transmit Power: 19 db

Between, love the torrent and others download speed.  thumbup.gif

As I replied in this thread before, just ask the contractor politely (that come to test 4MB). thumbup.gif

Yeah, I know higher is better. But does 13db is enough, especially rainy days?
If no, I might change and cap to 4MB sweat.gif

Get it capped back to 4Mbps. The reason is simple now if lets say for some reason there is heavy rain or there are some external factors , your SNR Margin may drop to 10 db. Now when it drops your ADSL would say , hold on. I can't maintain properly so let me resync (DSL light blinks). It then tries to get it synced at 2Mbps or 1Mbps or 512Kbps - depending on how TM configured and depending how your modem works. If I were you , I would rather get it capped at 4Mbps to enjoy a better connection. The reason why is the margin would be higher which gives room for bad condition. That means even on a bad day (bad weather for instance) your connection can still go on !

hey guys, I experienced an internet slowdown every night and very good speed in the morning and afternoon. I complaint to 100, they sent a technician to me and then said, the copper line is too old, so, can't support 4mb. So, any suggestion on what I should do? Any other channel to make complain? Thanks for advise
