+1..got some extra money to spare and buy the some bling-bling laugh.gif..joking only...

Well, Acer 4551 would be a nice choice as per given budget....if not then what our bro (kae7) suggested is pretty good nod.gif...go for Asus (2 years warranty) or Dell Inspiron (best after sales service)

considering migrating from desktop to notebook.

1. Brand : Any brand, as long as it have a good customer service, warranty issue

2. Budget : currently rm2k max, but if needed, can fund rm500 more biggrin.gif

3. Specs : u suggest, i will use this notebook to run adobe photoshop, some video editing and surfing internet.

4. Size : 14'': if my budget can get me a 15'' do suggest too!

5. Capabilities : thinking to extend to LCD monitor which support 1920x1080 reso, if my budget permit me to have this reso on external monitor, pls do suggest me..

in my consideration right now :

- Compaq CQ42
- Asus K40Ab
- Dell Vostro 3400
- Asus A42F i3

most from the list exceeded rm2k, so i need recommendation to get below 2k, if possible.

tq!

I suggest go for your max budget since you are running some photoshop, etc needed bigger ram, better graphic card to run smooth bit.
You can try go for Acer with cheaper price and better spec. But about the customer service and warranty i think Asus and Hp should suitable your choice.
