@abudi- their system is made like that, regardless you using postpaid broadband or prepaid broadband you will get a "welcome" maxis page. Well if you on desktop computer, just close the page when it been poped out.
@modernwarfare2- did you run on 3G signal (blue or light-blue LED color)? even if the signal is so-so, you should be getting pretty decent speed though.

Green light is GPRS signal, sure slow lah! Try use "WCDMA Only" mode, see if you catch any 3G signal (or force it to stay on 3G signal). The speedtest you show is pretty ok (mine also like that), but you should be able to get 3.2Mbps with that basic modem if you are in city I lost 3G signal sicne noon today, again; it was kind of fixed yesterday midnight... now down again argh,.. QUOTE(M1X @ Dec 31 2010, 01:48 AM) After using maxis for a while, decided to terminate. Slow and frequent disconnect irritates me. Worse still, whenever u call them, they ask u to click here click there, on off modem but to no avail

QUOTE(Modernwarfare2 Nooblet @ Dec 31 2010, 10:03 PM) maxisbb showed up as apn not bbnet on d modem. Both APN is usable for Maxis Wireless BB Just don't use unet which is for Maxis's mobile internet. This one runs like tap water and once you finish using up your quota, it goes PAYU.

QUOTE(breonwei @ Dec 22 2010, 02:30 PM) Just subscribed to Maxis wireless broadband (3GB RM38 for first 5 months), bought wifi modem E5832 too. Speedtest using my iPhone 4 Maxis 3G yield about 500kB/s but with E5832, max speed is ard 250kB/s Any idea why is it so? Tests done both in the same location. Sungai Dua, Butterworth, Penang. Hi. Just wondering, the modem that you bought was it at full price of rm380 or did you take the 6 month contract and paid rm280 for it? Thanks

Anyone is using the maxis Mifi modem? Does it last for a few hours only? What do you do if you want to stay online continuously?

Just Found Out Maxis Postpaid for Wireless Broadband is more expensive then Prepaid.
Postpaid 1 month 6GB = RM 98
Prepaid 1 month 8GB = RM 100 *With RM25 - 2GB per week
Hot Ticket 1 month 6GB = RM 80 *With RM20 - 1.5GB per week
(4weeks per month.)
