Q : currently if with Maxis 3G , i can get 3G 4bar with sometimes H with 0bar ... if i want to subscribe Maxis WBB , i shud get the same coverage rite ?

I just subscribed to Maxis wireless broadband (3GB) today , plus bought the E1762 modem
Paid total Rm200 , activation fees and the modem
7 days free trial or money back if return
RM38 per month for 5 month , then back to RM48 per month

speedtest result



Good or no good ?

checked the maxis broadband manager -> tools -> network type -> WCDMA prefered , all bands (is set defaulted)
Why is that so ? ... the network type shud be HSDPA rite ? Because compare to my maxis 3G on my HTC shows HSDPA 4bars all the time

Do i need to set a new profile management or how to enable the network type option ?

Yupp but got special offer for those existing postpaid Maxis customer , only Rm48 for 3Gb

i'm not sure but they shud hv all ur acc details edi , can just claim and change the package only .. but go straight to maxis centre , less hassle

anyone can guide me how to change the network type option to WCDMA only ?
Mine wur set WCDMA prefered as default

Not nice also la , me in kampung area ..
compare w celcombb , highest can get upto 1.2Mbps

well currently it's my Day2 using this maxisbb . got another 5 more day to max use this bb . at same time i'll be comparing to my celcombb to see which one can serve me better .

*tired waiting TMnet to fix those stolen cabel will take ages to get streamyx online again ..

Dammit .. can't browse since 7 pm ... hardly established the connection but once does also nothing . already connected w 4 bars wcdma sometimes w hsdpa . slowly the data volume increases but error on loading website . Maxis 3g at least better stable than this ....

Speedtest today .. seems better than last 2 days

Only the first day was Okey ... afterthat K.O edi ..
Otherwise surfing w Maxis3G much more stable and reliable ..

just terminated this bb . got back activation fee Rm100 , and get to keep the modem

they gimme option either to return it and claim Rm100 or keep it ..

rm38 for 5 month , then rm48 the rest ...
add modem 7.2 rm100

I keep the modem for my celcombb ..

thats what exactly happen w my maxisBB

same problem happen w my celcom bb . after wrote a long love letter , after they did a major reset system for my area .. problem solved . maybe u shud try report to them

Yup its locked to maxis . Just call up the customer service number , ask them the unlock code . no problem . they will ask some question to confirm abt the modem first
