Wow, thanks for the program notworthy.gif , really proof that this old BenQ monitor is not good for gaming, the moving animated car is totally blur. doh.gif
Wonder how it does on my home one tho... sweat.gif

oh.. yeah. true. forgot about PWP. me too got offer around rm80 for the sondbar PWP with new monitor, but didnt buy the soundbar. i doubt the quality of it. but if those who one hooked up their console to the monitor, the soundbar can be really convenient IMO.

The adjustments that's made available by it's stand. Most LCD monitors have very little adjustments available [can only tilt for +-10 degrees doh.gif ]Not all people have the same torso heght thus with an adjustable stand the user can get their eyes to be parallel to the LCD.that way the colours won't wash out/become dark etc.
About ghosting, while a lot of TN panel LCDs claim they have 2ms response time, some of them have reverse ghosting.[They have trails in front of them, not in the back.]That is even worse.

The U2311H's response time isn't that bad really, sure it can't beat the XL2370/120Hz LCDs,but it holds it's own quite well against 5MS TN panel LCDs like the Acer S231HL here

http://www.digitalversus.com/dell-u2311h-p357_8953_88.html
http://www.digitalversus.com/samsung-syncm...57_6587_36.html

Added on November 12, 2010, 2:58 pmabout power consumption, average TN Panel LED backlit LCDs use 27-28w,the U2311H use 33w,that's only 5-6w of difference which translates to RM7.8 savings per year [12 hours per day,RM0.3/kW]

thanks Racerx, now i see ur points there..

actually i would prefer better panel nowadays like pva and ips..
since i can tolerate for gaming within that range of response times..
(lol actually last time TN panel more worst than 8ms)

and good for everyday use also.. coz not only for gaming..

Anybody use Monsters cable for LCD monitor? Just curious though.

For digital cables, the signal will be transferred exactly the same, thus buying a branded one such as 'Monster' is probably just like throwing your money down the drain.

that LCD is just abysmal.Don't get it rclxub.gif
here's a review
http://www.pcmonitors.org/monitor-reviews/dell-st2320l

Looking at it's price,i highly suggest you get the U2311H instead. It has better colour reproduction, better viewing angles, better stand.

or if your budget is really tight you can consider the LG E2350T,it's not as good as the U2311H but still better than the ST2320L

A cheap HDMI to DVI converter come at price usually not exceeding RM10. If u have paypal u can try buy 1 from ebay. I bought one for about RM6. Doesn't have any problem connecting my PS3 at 1080p resolution.
