Yeah. Go for U2311h. I'm a gamer myself and after using it about 5 days I would say that I have no problem with input lag and ghosting are not really noticeable. I've played Killzone 2 a few times using this monitor.

For U2311h (or monitor with DVI input without hdmi) users that need to use hdmi can get a hdmi to dvi converter here.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=290453557042

I get it for a very cheap price, not exceed RM6 including shipping. No problem connecting my PS3 at 1920x1080 resolution. And I received the item only after 10 days.

And for those who need a hdmi cable can get here for RM15.

I must admit that even trading forex on U2311h feels much better with its screen size and the vibrant color.

Friend selling it for 680. I want it to be able to display my PS3 games which i think it can with the DVI.

For that price you can get Dell U2311h, which now become cheaper again from Dell, at price of RM 639.

Hmm. Checked the product page. Whats this USB upstream and downstream? I assume its input and output. But which is which?

The monitor can acts as USB hub (4 port, 2 on left side, 2 other on back) with one input to the monitor, 4 out of it.

There no such thing as this thing Best for this and that. Those that can tolerate a bit of ghosting will choose U2311h or other ips panel. On the other hand for those can tolerate less accurate color production and less viewing angle, get TN panel which has faster response time for gaming.

Looking for one that supports HDMI. The U2311H does not support it. Any other suggestions? Thanks

A cheap HDMI to DVI converter come at price usually not exceeding RM10. If u have paypal u can try buy 1 from ebay. I bought one for about RM6. Doesn't have any problem connecting my PS3 at 1080p resolution.

err...converter wont work...work only on rare cases, like yours
usually needs hdmi to dvi cable. nod.gif
*
I think it's more on the rare occasion that the hdmi to dvi converter won't work, such as poorly built converter or corrosion on the pins due to oxidation. In most cases it should work fine.

hi guys. i just bought a PS3 and connected hdmi to H233H. how do i connect external speakers to this H233H? thanks~
*
U can connect audio from ps3 using AV out (use the cable bundled with the ps3) to external speaker. Go to PS3 audio setting at the XMB and set the output to AV Multi Out.

nope...it has something to do with hdcp, I think...dont hold me on this  tongue.gif
my converter brand new also cant use la
many times d ppl bought converter and lastly resort to use hdmi to dvi cable, thats why no converter is recommended in this thread, its hit or miss

Playstation 3 FAQ For Beginners

for ppl who just bought their monitors and started playing ps3, can refer there also, have  all the infos

Sorry that I didn't state it clearly. Of course u need monitor with HDCP support in order to use hdmi on monitor with DVI but without the hdmi connection. For Dell U2311h, no need to worry as it does support HDCP. Newer monitors these days usually are HDCP compliant. It simply not the problem on the converter, it's more on the monitor either it support or not.

Hi, new guy here.

I'm planning to buy a HD monitor for my ps3. Which one is better DELL U2311H or Acer S231HL?
*
Dell U2311h

If u already have HDMI cable then u need a hdmi to dvi converter. HDMI DVI Converter
OR if u don't have hdmi cable u can get a hdmi to dvi cable. HDMI-DVI cable

Anyone?

If u read the previous posts already u can guess that most will probably suggest Dell U2311h or U2410.
Dell U2311h - no hdmi but has DVI (with hdcp), u need dvi-hdmi converter to connect PS3
Dell U2410 -has hdmi, no need to worry much

I have Dell U2311h i used it to play PS3, but occasionally i connect to my laptop as well. I hardly would suggest any monitor other than this.
