8am MRT will be packed like sardine  ohmy.gif

I do expect that, but does anybody knows the timing / duration?
1.5hrs, 1hr or 30m?
The question was Admiralty to Raffles during 8am peak hours, how long will it take for the MRT?

need advices on hunting job at sg. I went through jobstreet and most jobs advertised indicate sgporean or sg PRs need to apply. Is that meant a malaysian residing in malaysia don't ever bother to apply coz eventually the application will be ignored?

No lah... it's just a standard phrase in job ads.

But you have to realise also that if the kind of job being advertised can attract a good number of local applicants, chances are that the employer will not waste time to consider any foreigners.

Hi guys, need your advise on this. My girl lives in singapore with a bunch of friends (rented), and they were there since beginning of this year. Today she told me that her house got splashed red paint because the ex-tenant owed loan sharks some money.

Right now, for me, I'm worried for her safety. What do you suggest she can do?

Obviously you need to come down here and protect her, right? flex.gif

Anyway, just make a police report and legally inform the landlord. They'll have to work it out. She can also call her MP directly or go to the Community Center to find out when the MP will be conducting his next meet-the-grassroots session. They usually respond quite well to educated folks who are capable of going straight to the press or PAP HQ.

In any case... the alongs in Singapore are softies. All they dare to do is paint this, paint that. I've never actually heard or read of actual cases of physical aggression.

Well... let's put it this way. The circumstances that allow you to light firecrackers in Malaysia is also the same thing that allows robbers and snatch thieves to go free after they rob/harm/kill their victims.

There've been case after case of bastards on motorbikes whacking old folks from behind when they doing their morning walk exercises in Ipoh and then robbing them. Quite a few died from their injuries... of course lah.., 70-80 years old kena whack on the head by a crash helmet swung from a speeding motorbike. Not one assailant has been caught.

So... back to the point... it may be 'exciting'... but in a "living in fear" kind of way.

Ahaha I wonder whether we can construct a case in such a way to claim a breach of contract by the landlady/landlord, so that they can arrange to move out.
