Too bad most of the 70% and half price items are out of stock now. If interested in the MK1 pilot watch you'd probably want to take advantage of the 20% discount being offered.

I'm looking for a good wooden watch display case, something like this:

Do you know which where I can buy watch display case like above in Malaysia, and how much does it cost?

Which one, the obama watch or the watch display case? If Amcorp has it, I might go there later this weekend.

Thanks. Very interesting. Leather is nice, but I think I prefer wooden watch box with polish finish, something like in the picture.

Oris ...you cant go wrong...but neither it is a spectacular brand....
With your budget..perhaps compare a bit more wider.......Ball, Fortis...I assume you like Formula 1...some think Tag's F1 series are actually good representative of racing watches....although some might not like the quartz models...
If you're a bit more adventurous, try look into Laco, Stowa, Steinhart...Even the lower priced Christopher Ward has gotten people excited here...

You'll learn 2 important things here in this forum

1.  never spend on designer watches.

2.  buy what you like.  Listen to opinions, etc, visit websites, see photos, and go for one that will capture your heart.  It took me 6 months to zoom down to my Sinn U1 and i am still madly in love with it...

all the best..

Thanks for the valuable advise.
This gonna be my 2nd watch since I've been wearing my Seiko Chornograph for more than 7 years.

I am not a FI junkie smile.gif

For the brands that you mentioned, I only knew Ball which was out of my budget. The cheapest Ball was close to 8k sad.gif

However, I will search for the brands that you mentioned and read some reviews before deciding which 1 to go for.

Any pro and cons of a watch built on titanium case ? Forgot where I read from that mentioned titanium is not scrach proff compared to stainless steel. is that true ?

Dear all pros and amatuers,

I was thinking to get a 3-5k mechanical watch preferrably ORIS range.
Any recommendation ?

I like the design of TT3 day date series with rubber straps.
Any one that own this model care to shed some lights ?

Thanks in advance and the information in this thread was very challenging for newbie like me to digest.
*
I think it all depends on the type of watch you want. For Oris.. there is Sport type (Williams series), Diver and dressy type. With your budget, you will have no issue to get an Oris.
