I am confuse, which watch maker is the best for the money.

Both are Swiss Made however what makes them best out of it? Tissot is more affordable than Victorinox.
*
Tissot is under the swatch group, i would expect they get more discount getting movements. 1 reason why tissot is more affordable.
other reasons may include, thats how they wanna priced themselves, cost cutting comes from getting case make in china, they may not spend much time regulating the movements they get from ETA, and maybe QC.

Golano swiss make very affordable swiss watch, however QC is a mix bag from what i read.

Looking for my first watch budget under 1.5k.

-auto movement
-leather strap
-width 34-38mm
-6-8mm thickness
-classic look
-without chronograph
-with date

Any brand recommend? As my wrists
sizes small, im afraid later item bought
through online and it doesnt fit me. How
to deal with this problem and what measure
need to make? hmm.gif

1st of all auto + 6-8mm is just not possible.
auto + ~10mm is possible.

U have to look at page 1. there is a list of possible brands.
so far only these 2 watches come to mind
- hamilton watch (Field mechanical size at 33mm) retail price ~rm1.1K but thickness is greater than 8mm iirc
- Stowa Antea Kleine Sekunde (35.5mm at 6.8mm thick) however its priced RM$1.8k and need to wait for 1-3mths.

bought online and don't fit! don't remove those tags, and ship back to return it. many online store have good return policy, with the exception of Stowa.
not heard of anyone returning their watches.

if u have tried watches with your specs. 24-38mm and that thick and it suit u well, chances are similar dimension watches will fit u too.

@ alfredfx, Christopher Ward wouldn't satisfy the 6-8mm thickness. ETA 2824 or SW200 are thick. watches on these movement generally at ~10mm thick. 6-8mm only mechanical. btw have CW shipped your order?

He bought it off ebay. He went to RedArmy to get a new strap. According to RedArmy 1) they don't recognize that model. 2) it's a GMT but GMTs don't have words printed on the dial 3) the word on the dial says AUTOMATIC. Junkers spell it with a K as in AUTOMATIK.

Fakes r everywhere. It used to be you could only get a good replica in ChinaTown but nowadays if you go to Berjaya Times Sq, Sg Wang, Bkt Bintang, there's someone selling replica watches (and luxury handbags). If you go to Kota Dsara, pasar malam, you'll find replicas of G-Shock, Guess, Swatch, Levis, Adidas, etc. This are extremely popular with foreign workers who can't afford to splash 100bucks on a "luxury" replica.

funny, i bought my junkers at red watch army tropicana, and it spell automatic hmm.gif

Sorry, I really don't know the details. I'm only saying what was told to me by my friend. Because of what was told to him, he gave the watch to his nephew. Gosh, imagine if he found out that the watch is genuine and the salesperson was misinformed. tongue.gif

Man, that Seiko is sweeeet. drool.gif

I wonder if these salespeople when they are hired, are they given training or a book/manual to read on the history of the brand, etc? Or are they just taught to serve the customer by getting the watch out of the display case.
