QUOTE(cuz @ May 22 2010, 05:13 PM) due to the increase in popularity of these watches, many of them are making cetak rompaks... it say 24h, dial shows 24h , but the hour hand spins 2 times ard the dial per day...zzz Yeah u r rite. Plenty of fake Poljot and Vostok running around, not only online but now in KL as well. There was a time when only luxury brands were counterfeited but these days anything goes, even fake Swatch watches are every where. My friend bought a Junkers online. It came with a Junkers box, certificate of authenticity, etc. Only recently found out that it was a fake when he went to get a new strap. I think the best way is to ask others or around watch forums about a particular site you are buying from and get some feedback. I've only bought swiss/russian watch at the stores and have not purchase these online yet so I wouldn't know of any good sites. But for my Jap watches I buy often from sites I trust (higuchi/seiya) and have no problems with buying online, except once when the customs held my watch and asked me to pay duty (or kopi?). |

QUOTE(patryn33 @ May 23 2010, 04:10 AM) fake Junkers! thats news.. how did he found out its fake? open the case? can share the site he got it from? maybe its good to compile a list of place to let ppl know which are the sites to stay away like plague! He bought it off ebay. He went to RedArmy to get a new strap. According to RedArmy 1) they don't recognize that model. 2) it's a GMT but GMTs don't have words printed on the dial 3) the word on the dial says AUTOMATIC. Junkers spell it with a K as in AUTOMATIK.anyway there are always ppl who claim they disscover they found a fake like your friend did but after further inquiry on QUS/Timezone etc its the real thing. kinda some ppl complain about a fake invicta as it has chinese movement. well, real invicta have series that are MIC. Poljot and Vostok fake? seen ppl asking on WUS seem like those get on ebay got tricked. Not seen any on the street here. did know KL also have ppl selling these fakes russian and swatch. btw are they good AAA fake? http://www.russianwatchguide.com/counterfeit-watches.htm i do agree with U, U always need to do some level of research when u getting online. if they ship from Asia forget about it, or website no address, no tel number etc super shady. China even have fake toilet paper. according to WUS stay away from sky.net and timetotime.com for sure http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=66438 Fakes r everywhere. It used to be you could only get a good replica in ChinaTown but nowadays if you go to Berjaya Times Sq, Sg Wang, Bkt Bintang, there's someone selling replica watches (and luxury handbags). If you go to Kota Dsara, pasar malam, you'll find replicas of G-Shock, Guess, Swatch, Levis, Adidas, etc. This are extremely popular with foreign workers who can't afford to splash 100bucks on a "luxury" replica. |

QUOTE(ghoster @ May 28 2010, 08:08 PM) Sorry, I really don't know the details. I'm only saying what was told to me by my friend. Because of what was told to him, he gave the watch to his nephew. Gosh, imagine if he found out that the watch is genuine and the salesperson was misinformed. Added on May 30, 2010, 12:22 am QUOTE(patryn33 @ May 29 2010, 07:57 AM) I rather spend alittle more on Seiko spring drive chrono + pwr res priced ~21K after discount. Man, that Seiko is sweeeet. U made a great pt. the one on Junkers offical site also spell it as automatic not automatik. wonder if shop keeper is spreading the wrong info. I wonder if these salespeople when they are hired, are they given training or a book/manual to read on the history of the brand, etc? Or are they just taught to serve the customer by getting the watch out of the display case. This post has been edited by iamadrianlee: May 30 2010, 12:22 AM |

QUOTE(moo moo @ Jun 2 2010, 12:57 AM) hi there. any of u guys have any knowledge on this watch here? 450USD is a decent price. I bought mine at about 510USD. Traded it with a WIS in Puchong for his Landmonster+cash. It didn't work for me as I'm more into divers. It is a nice watch though and Lanatir's photos makes the watch look even better.http://livedoor.blogimg.jp/toku5052/imgs/9/b/9bd86a37.jpg Seiko SARB065 if it was 450USD, is it worth the buy? care to shed some light on this? |

QUOTE(twom @ Jun 3 2010, 09:06 AM) My newest acquisition, Zeno Basel Oversize Diver. Saw it on your blog a few days back. Didn't know u were lurking in here. U're not far away from your A to Z collection. The only thing I don't like about this watch is the movement. More photos available at my blog http://ltwatchgallery.blogspot.com/2010/05...-z-to-zeno.html Happy viewing. This post has been edited by iamadrianlee: Jun 3 2010, 09:11 AM |

QUOTE(FatalitY @ Jun 8 2010, 12:50 AM) Hmmm...Seiko, or Casio...which one better...? Oh...btw...iamadrianlee, my wrist is hella small...like girl a bit...=____=''' No worries. Nowadays some girls wear big watches too. I'm one that doesn't care much about brands when it comes to buying watches (although I have about 17 Seikos in my collection). Most important thing is the watch appeals to you and u wear it in good health. |

QUOTE(xphossis @ Jun 8 2010, 12:14 PM) Hi guys, any idea where I can get watch stand? Since they are local, why don't you email them direct? If they don't sell it to you perhaps they can give you some contacts in KL.Something like this? http://www.titusads.com/acrylic_watch.html Added on June 8, 2010, 12:28 pm QUOTE(lanatir @ Jun 8 2010, 10:18 AM) ah the 6497. a real classic and very ubiquitous. among the best finished was the one in my JR Bressel which i used to have and had much joy owning. i especially liked how the bridge was cut. QUOTE(xphossis @ Jun 8 2010, 02:08 PM) Try Petaling Street. There's a shop which sells all things related to watches. I can't remember what's the shop's name. If I'm not mistaken the name of the building is called Selangor building. |

QUOTE(jayxunned @ Jun 18 2010, 07:26 PM) It was 9900 series, the one you show was 8200 Curious, are u a G-shock collector? How did u get the watch? The difference is the frogman logo was embed on the right and vice versa, the background frog embedded was different as well with blue illumination. Still no one can find the prices? The price really depends on the condition of the watch. The problem with jelly & white straps is that they tend to yellow over time and it's difficult to find replacement straps. Is yours Worn, BNIB, still with tag, papers, etc? The retail price was somewhere around 23000JPY. It's not that popular in Japan but has a bigger following with G-Men outside of Japan. The 8200 is generally more popular than 9900. I recently saw one in mint condition, never worn before, asking for USD450. That's a bit on the high side. I've seen another mint DW-9900 with box & papers sold for USD380. I personally know someone who purchased one for USD300 and everyone thought it was a bargain. There's really no fix price to put on such a piece. Malaysian G-Men are still stocking up on the Final Edition GW-200Z Frogman (retails about USD380) or saving up for the newer GWF-1000 series which retails for more than the price of a entry level Tag Heuer. Check out the price sold here. Final Edition GW-200Z ![]() More Here from a fellow G-Men. My advice if you are seriously planning to sell it, would be to look for a foreign buyer (in watch forums), put a price to test out the water, and be patient coz it wont sell overnite, but they do get better response from foreign G-Men. Good luck mate. Cheers. |

QUOTE(hongzheng @ Dec 10 2010, 06:14 PM) Anyone can spot the difference for these two Casio watches? They looks identical to me, but in reality one is replica another is genuine... Those Chinese clone maker is really amazing nowsaday, hat off to them orz... That's nothing compared to the fake Tissot widely sold on ebay. Here's a link to a private seller who's been selling them without knowing they're fakes until a hardcore Tissot fan pointed it out to him. http://jamlama.blogspot.com/2010/07/bahagi...ot-prc-200.html |
