QUOTE(patryn33 @ Oct 9 2010, 09:20 AM) iirc its on SW 220 (some view as a cheaper replacement of ETA 2836), nothing special about it. thats one beautiful watch man. how much does it cost? and how long does it take to be shipped?after discount maybe ~3.7k some model of Louis Erard are better, its mod by Soprod (used to mod the famous Panerai) anyway, I would rather pay for for a Guinand series 20 chrono or Stowa. maybe a Damasko, ice harden case that resist scratch and a soft iron core that protect against magnetism. http://www.damasko.de/eng/index.html diver watch www.mkiiwatches.com also better deal Added on October 9, 2010, 9:45 amLooking for a German watch, look like I can only afford nomos. From the AD here their production is very low watches that AD does not carry often has a wait of 3mths. In Glashuttle, germany only has these 4 major watch makers. the rest like Union, Muhle seem to use only ETA. soehnle uhren seem to make their own movements but I believe production is very small. http://www.soehnle-uhren-shop.de/Shop/ anyone saw this stunning German watch! http://forums.watchuseek.com/f8/well-my-dr...day-455857.html ![]() ![]() btw i'm now looking for a rectangle watch. budget below 3k if possible. looking for one to wear everyday. any suggestions? thanks guys. QUOTE(LiLFreaK @ Nov 13 2010, 06:34 PM) I like this one from g timeless tho because its timeless and so prolly wont get outdated for very long time.. and it has diamonds whichh makes it look more elegant.. i am also brand concious, but after looking at my dad's new seiko ananta, it change my whole perception towards seiko.Retail price is 3690 , but i got it for 3100 after discount Actually i know that fashion houses watch are not really great choice.. bt with my limited budget i cant afford to get more expensive luxury brand such as omega ( i prefer zenith or rolex though) .. And i am a very brand conscious person so i'd have to pass for high end seiko because i am not really into the mechanicals stuffs anyway... As for armani watch there is only one i want which is giorgio armani watch ... (not the emporio one) they only have 1 design if i am not mistaken .. Yeah louis vuitton watches are nice looking considered them too bt after much thoughs they are too expensive |

QUOTE(okboy92 @ Nov 14 2010, 10:59 PM) i noe some other brands like panerai. but its way too expensive for a college student like me. www.stowa.com for good value. as what patryn said earlier, there are many brands out there and page 1 is a list of them. it all boils down to what you are looking for. Wether your looking for a big brand, a good finished watch, or a watch that has resale value.is it possible to get a good mechanical watch with the price im paying? btw where can i find NOS watches in KL? dont bother panerai. unless your going for their lineup with their own inhouse movements. i do own a panerai and all i can say that there is nothing really special about it. Fit and finish is so-so. And if your looking for brand. Panerai's aint that popular among people our age as well. (i'm in college too). With 4 k, you can get a pontos day date automatic for that price in a local AD. i personally like ML. i find their fit & finish is good and even better than the likes of tag and some of the omegas. |

i recommend you to go to the ML boutique in starhil for the purchase, the sales manager there is super friendly. unlike those snobbish slaesman who look down on younger customers.
if you dont mind a simple design. chck out the new pontos day date automatic. http://www.google.com.my/imglanding?q=pont...=1t:429,r:0,s:0 it comes in many colours. if i'm not wrong it cost rm 4.3k after the 30% discount. This post has been edited by yijzen: Nov 15 2010, 08:09 AM |

QUOTE(patryn33 @ Nov 15 2010, 09:41 AM) 30% is standard ML discount? very cool. @ retail of 2150 chf, I would expect it to be ~4.5K standard for ML pontos range is around 30%. the masterpiece can sometimes be higher due to promotion. last year theres some "how old are you" event which made it possible to get a 50% discount on the masterpiece. ofcourse not the ones with thier inhouse movements.![]() Frederique Constant Maxime Heart Beat Moon Date, underrated brand that release a tourbillion not too long ago and a few inhouse movement http://www.azfinetime.com/Frederique-Const...eat-Moon-Date-2 ![]() This is at ~US$40K http://www.luxury-insider.com/Current_Affa...Tourbillon.aspx ![]() ![]() This neat at US$48.5K http://www.worldtempus.com/en/news/events/...-24-silicium-1/ ![]() |

QUOTE(patryn33 @ Nov 16 2010, 02:23 AM) ML do not have many inhouse movement. They are like Chronoswiss using vintage movement and making big improvements on it is it? those skeleton movements arent theirs? the maurice lacroix masterpiece squelette. btw patryn have you handled or owned a stowa before? hwos the fit and finish?Added on November 16, 2010, 2:25 am not 100% of course, so long it is not a AD that always raise a few question. do your research well and u'll be rewarded. |
