totally agree. But don;t you think is better to have an on going promotion which has been occuring for one year than a standard boring cash rebate biggrin.gif

It looks like the sleeping giant, PBB is offering the BEST cash back promotion in town. My hands are a bit itchy now. Does PBB give any incentives for reimbursement of the RM50 service tax?

I check with the CS. It should be RM60 cash rebate as welcome gift if you swipe your new card at least RM80 within the first month.

What I am concerned is that PBB is not going to extend the cash back promotion when I get the card, knowing that PBB has been running the promotion for quite some time now. PBB CCs are useless if no cash back is given.

now since you've mentioned it, I also din noticed my March rebate, the last rebate payout which is on 30/03 should be for February
UPDATE: I did not hv 8 qualifying transactions for March - utilities and insurance not counted
PBB inform me they will only cancel the MU Master by end of July, previously they told me end of May

hi all,

i'm currently using citibank SHELL gold card. this is my 2nd year using. the 1st year they waived my annual fees(as stated in the t&c) but now 2nd year, they want to charge me RM195 for annual fees!! i called and asked for waive but they said can't!

i was thinking to cancel the card since i just swipe the card when i pump shell..its just a convenient to me but i still can use my hsbc card to do that.

does anyone know anyway to make they waive the card?
*
I called CTB last week to ask for RM195 annual fee waiver for my Shell Gold too. Immediately after keying in my card number, the Interactive Voice Recording (IVR) prompted me something like this " If you are calling with regards to annual fee waiver request, all you have to do is to enter your mobile phone number follow by the # key after this msg. We will revert to you on the status of your request via sms within 3 business day bla bla...."
Today, I received a sms from Citibank "Your annual fee for your credit card has been waived and it will be reflected in your next statement."
Good service CTB !! Clean and swift. No need cakap banyak banyak. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Gosh! PBB is throwing $$$. You should inform me earlier.

The maximum cash back for overseas transactions during the promotion period is RM200 upon a cumulative spending of RM500, which is up to 40% cash back!

hehe, still not too late to get it now
i believe it's 10% up to maximum of RM200 of rebates but must accumulate minimum spending of RM500, else you'll get nothing

i just remembered it coz I'm going overseas next week, thus looking for which of my cc that gives the best return biggrin.gif

I checked with the CS again. It's confirmed that you will get RM60 cash back if you hit a cumulative spending of RM80 (regardless of how many swipes) within 60 days after the card approval date. However, you will need to pay the RM50 service tax in advance.

I am hesitating about applying for the card. If I were to apply, it will be via online application. To be frank, the Plat series looks awful.
