You can head over to BMW Club Malaysia's forum to ask owners specifically (http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/newforums/)

Yes the 330i is worth the extra money or you can opt to get a pre-registered M-sports 328i which last I saw at Glenmarie BMW Premium Selection at RM250k.

Is it worth getting event cars?

There is a World Islamic Economic Forum event car (F10 520i) registered 30 Oct 2015 available for RM293K+. Transfer and interchange to new number plate at buyer's cost. Mileage about 1,300km. Warranty and free service applies.

Yeah event cars are one of the best buys you can get because they are low mileage, you don't pay 2nd hand interest rates on loans and you still can get the BSRI.

Negotiate for full 5 years BSRI and if you can get a little bit more discount.

I don't see how they are going to go lower than 293K for an almost brand new F10 520i which normally costs 367K.

Depends on how desperate the sales team wants to sell the car and whether the dealership is meeting its quota or not. I have seen F10 520i registered in May and June 2015 which went for around RM285k during the carnival weekends. They have about 545km and 722km on the clock.

IINM = If I'm not mistaken

I think early 2015. If you call the BMW Premium Selection, look for Chow. He has a full list of cars available at the Auto Bavaria wide premium selection units. I was flipping through 5-6 pages of A4 paper filled with plenty of cars across all models.

Hi all BMW sifus,

Im thinking of buying BMW 3 series F30 in the UK and bring it back to Malaysia. As the diesel version is more popular here, I wonder:

1) If its possible to used Euro/UK-spec BMW F30 diesel car to Malaysia and run it on our low-graded oil?
2) Will I need to modify (add filter and such) to make it compatible?
3) In general, are second hand values of 'imported' car different from cars purchased locally?

Thanks for the help.

Got my brand new, zero mileage F10 2 weeks ago. Sadly, a number of issues have cropped up:

1) Rear passenger door 'opened' slightly on its own while I was driving at 90kmph. All doors were closed properly prior to that.
2) Car jerked at traffic light stop and engine died on me
3) RPM digital display meter stopped working but was ok after restart
4) While in comfort mode, gear shifts from 1-4 jerky / not smooth
5) Need to stomp on the brakes to get desired stopping power
6) Front suspension has a 'hollow' sound when going over harder bumps.
7) A lot of brake dust on front rims
8) Driver side wiper blade is noisy / squeaky

BMW took in my car yesterday for a complete check. Got a 3 Series as a replacement. Surely not a good start to my BMW ownership. mad.gif

Wow, that's quite a lot of issues for a brand new car, what did BMW say about it so far?
