Got my brand new, zero mileage F10 2 weeks ago. Sadly, a number of issues have cropped up:

1) Rear passenger door 'opened' slightly on its own while I was driving at 90kmph. All doors were closed properly prior to that.
2) Car jerked at traffic light stop and engine died on me
3) RPM digital display meter stopped working but was ok after restart
4) While in comfort mode, gear shifts from 1-4 jerky / not smooth
5) Need to stomp on the brakes to get desired stopping power
6) Front suspension has a 'hollow' sound when going over harder bumps.
7) A lot of brake dust on front rims
8) Driver side wiper blade is noisy / squeaky

BMW took in my car yesterday for a complete check. Got a 3 Series as a replacement. Surely not a good start to my BMW ownership.  mad.gif

Only 1 dealer has the best discounts. Nobody can beat their discounts. I got a 65K cash discount on a brand new zero mileage 520i with about 10K worth of freebies as well. If you need a good contact, PM me.

No rattling noise on the door. But there is rattling noise coming from below the steering wheel. There's a soft sponge-thingy below the steering column. Need to press on it for the noise to be gone when going through bad roads

I'm looking at getting a Japan Import F10, 2011 5-series from Rupee Enterprises.
I see that these models had an issue with the lubrication to the camshaft and may have impacted brake booster - so the Japan recall and export showing up in this market.javascript:emoticon(':peace:')
As they have one of the biggest selections outside of AB, I'm surprised I don't see anything on them here?
Is there anyone who can offer a helpful comment on this reseller and the options I might have for getting a warranty for the car in this market?javascript:emoticon(':respect:')
Thanks

after long hard thinking, i sold my Golf GTI MK6 for a BMW 120i M Sport and Scirocco R instead of just getting one A45 AMG. I want a fast car, but at the same time I fell in love with the new 1 series.

I see this thread is not that active, any other bmw thread / site you guys can recommend me to join?

How much did u sell your MK6 for? What year manufacture?

And how much did u pay for the 120i and Scirocco R? New or 2nd hand?

The MK6 is 2012 and I managed to sold it for RM120k.

the 120i is brand new 2015 model and I got it for 205k while the Scirocco R is manufactured 2013, but pre register 2015 and I got it for 200k. Dunno if they're a good deal or bad, but both are nicely in my budget so i just proceed.

Are you used to driving a SUV? If not, be warned that the ride is pretty harsh and bumpy especially for rear seat passengers. The X3 doesn't come with Dynamic Dampers so you don't get a choice of suspension. Interior space wise, its similar to a sedan. Nothing more.

My friend bought a brand new X3 last year and is now regretting cuz of the lack of ride comfort. He's now keen to trade in for a 5 Series.

But why a 120i and a Scirocco R? The 120i pales in comparison to the Scirocco. Ride comfort, handling and overall driving dynamics are just so far behind.

I feel the 120i was just created for those who can't afford higher end models but still want to be seen driving something cheaper with a BMW badge.

For 205K, I would have gone for the 318i LCI. or just topped up a bit more for a 320i.

Why do i need to compare them two if i have both? It's like asking me why do i buy iPhone 6s when Note 5 has better features, but in fact i have both tongue.gif

The 120i is my daily car now. Yeah it's not as powerful or dynamic as the scirocco r, but it's still a fun car to drive.. I dont mind the ride comfort..i used to drive my mom's a250 which is way stiffer than the 120i.

Well ya, reality for that money, 3 series is much more practical but i dont like sedan car. All my previous cars have been hatchback or at least coupe.

Kia forte koup
Golf gti
Peugeot 208 gti
Audi tt

And this time 120i n scirocco R.
