Try to avoid BMW above 5 years old, i learnt my lesson, my E60 repairs alone cost me more than RM35k stretch of 4 years ownership (Not including routine servicing.) I thought i got a lemon but did some survey among friends who owned E60 preLCI or LCI gave pretty much the same problems.

Got my brand new, zero mileage F10 2 weeks ago. Sadly, a number of issues have cropped up:

1) Rear passenger door 'opened' slightly on its own while I was driving at 90kmph. All doors were closed properly prior to that.
2) Car jerked at traffic light stop and engine died on me
3) RPM digital display meter stopped working but was ok after restart
4) While in comfort mode, gear shifts from 1-4 jerky / not smooth
5) Need to stomp on the brakes to get desired stopping power
6) Front suspension has a 'hollow' sound when going over harder bumps.
7) A lot of brake dust on front rims
8) Driver side wiper blade is noisy / squeaky

BMW took in my car yesterday for a complete check. Got a 3 Series as a replacement. Surely not a good start to my BMW ownership. 

Personally have checked with the authorized dealer and there is no concrete answer however they are obliged to report on any modification done including plug and play during warranty claim. Whether the claim will be rejected or not is not up to them as all the claims goes direct to HQ.

Also for the plug and play items that are not from their inventory, they by far have not agreed to do the installation.

Mine is G01 LCI 30i also doesn't have 360 and TPMS  . Apparently only the phev have those features over here but both europe and us market have those features even on their 30i duh. Apparently our malaysian version decided to cheap out those features  . Prolly will get them installed once the warranty is over if i still keep the car lol.
