Are you used to driving a SUV? If not, be warned that the ride is pretty harsh and bumpy especially for rear seat passengers. The X3 doesn't come with Dynamic Dampers so you don't get a choice of suspension. Interior space wise, its similar to a sedan. Nothing more.

My friend bought a brand new X3 last year and is now regretting cuz of the lack of ride comfort. He's now keen to trade in for a 5 Series.

Thanks for your respond.

I'm not exactly used to drive SUV.
Actually my father has a Durian farm.
That why i'm looking for SUV, since sometimes i will travel to the farm.
If SUV type, which model you would suggest me to look into?

I dont think BMW has that kind of SUV that suits ur usage. My suggestion is either Ford Ranger / the new Ford Everest.

A big comfy and powerful SUV...I'd suggest you take a look at the Santa Fe diesel...current model or incoming face lift...

Well if you really want BMW X series, go for X5. My bro in law drives X5 and it's very comfy.. but he never drives off road though.

Actually, the road to the farm are not that bad. I wouldnt call it off road. X5 quite big for my wife to drive. But will go and test drive 1st. 80% most time the car will be use on highway, long distance driving.

Why do i need to compare them two if i have both? It's like asking me why do i buy iPhone 6s when Note 5 has better features, but in fact i have both tongue.gif

The 120i is my daily car now. Yeah it's not as powerful or dynamic as the scirocco r, but it's still a fun car to drive.. I dont mind the ride comfort..i used to drive my mom's a250 which is way stiffer than the 120i.

Well ya, reality for that money, 3 series is much more practical but i dont like sedan car. All my previous cars have been hatchback or at least coupe.

Kia forte koup
Golf gti
Peugeot 208 gti
Audi tt

And this time 120i n scirocco R.

Bro how would rate 208 gti overall ?
Does it suit big size guy ? Im 187cm btw
Thanks

Yes, very annoying, send back to SC fix it for 3 times, but the rattling sound still exist.... sad.gif
Did you send back to SC to fix them? I sent to glenmarie, but they are not doing their work properly. cry.gif

Mine was fixed when I sent the car in for 10k service. Took only 1-2 hours.

BTW, I sent mine to AB tun razak. So far so good. They did help me out with a clip for the third brake light that was broken during tint installation. Left my car there for a day and they managed to find the broken piece that causes rattling noise in rear dashboard.

Hi all,

I'm currently looking for a 520d or 520i, aiming for 2012 or newer batch. Any thoughts on what i need to pay attention to when doing the checking? Any common issues for 5-series to be aware of? Checked from mudah.my, the price is range from 160-200k region, is that reasonable?

Actually when it comes to X5, I did saw several times BMW X5 with PRC Plate (and left hand drive) driven in KL and during my crossing to Koh Samui last year..

Guys need your input on the 2015 118i.. with the new 3 cylinder engine.. Is it a good buy? compare to the similar Mini Cooper (1.5 also) ..

I liked the RWD 118i but Mrs loved the Mini..
