Is it that guy which i told u to call? The 22K was a discount from the OTR price. Plus that was in December. Im sure the discounts are more now. Can u call him again and check whats the current discount? Im sure they're more desperate to push off units since the Avante has already been revealed on Malaysian shores.

hi cybermaster, yes i called the guy you mentioned. also aurelius inform me about this guy in cheras branch, today i went to his showroom confirm the price is 80888 + insurance + free gps for the whole package. sound a good deal? idk u guys tell me?

by the way ss2 branch offer is 80388, not 80300, the SA very frank and told me that he slash half of his comm to give me this deal of 80388, the price is actually 80888 same as cheras branch and that their comm is 1k. true or not? again idk lah.....

her are the things i gather:
1) ss2 branch, RM80388 OTR (no free gift) 15 units black color left, limited silver and sapphire silver (dont know how many left but very limited)
2) cheras branch, RM80888 OTR (free gps system) few units black, 1 unit sapphire grey only
3) puchong branch, RM81888 OTR (no free gift) only black and sapphire in stock

all branch SA seem to provide good service, atleast this is how i feel after meeting them la... whoever want their contacts can always pm me smile.gif last but not least, i think avante is the way if anyone is looking for comfort and have a slightly tight budget, when i test drive avante, i feel like driving a luxury car, something like driving a sylphy but at 25k less price smile.gif

You should always get a nett price minus all the freebies. Dont bother about the GPS or whatver. Always ask for a discunt based on the OTR price only. Dont be taken up by freebies. Getting a discount based on OTR price gets u lower loan payments which are worth much more in the long term than the GPS anyway.

On the Avante itself, u must remember that eventhough its 25K less than the Sylphy now, but the resale value (which is already low) will drop further when the new Avante is launched. So u need to take all this into account and get the best cash discount possible. Dont be satisfied with the prices above.

Remember than Hyundai will face bigger losses if they still have stock when the new Avante is launched so they are getting more desperate to push off current stock. Take advantage of this desperation and dont settle for less.

lol... what i want to point out from the page is this:

"Most companies quote the issue of fuel quality when asked on why normally aspirated direct injection engines are not available here. The NAP Review says there will be a timeline formulated for the introduction of better petrol (and diesel) here in Malaysia so hopefully by that time it will be just right for GDI Hyundais and Kias to be introduced here in Malaysia."

I don't think Avante 2011 in Malaysia will use GDI la~ unless Malaysia come out better petrol quality in this few months. I think it will use the same engine as US, which is 1.8L "Nu" engine
