See how similar they are? Thats why i was really impressed with the Avante. Can someone try and post these pics here for all to see rather than leaving it on picpaste?

No indication yet but according to salesman, it is most likely CBU unit directly from outside Malaysia. The unit that I saw in KLIMS have a very good and nice interior. Which Kia Forte did you see? The 1.6 one are not as good, but heard the 2.0 comes with leather seat. smile.gif

Very nice to see it face to face. Love the design and interior is spacious. If the engine provided for our market is good they have a winning combination on their hands.

Took some rear seat shots but could not open the boot because the model was blocking the driver side. We will need the power of our imagination for that. Hope my shots turned out well. Didn't manage to run through as I took approx 800 pics that day.

Wah... Another kiasu on the block... hehehe... just joking... Most likely the engine and gearbox will be the same. You should have kick the model down the water. Hehe... So, you didn't manage to sit on the driver seat? Such a waste lei...

Yup. Was one of those wannabe kiasu people. But skill was so low so have to take a few pics of the same thing tongue.gif

To be honest I wanted to kick the model down the water and molest the car but I might get killed by the other 10 photographers. No I didn't sit on the drivers seat but I sat on the back and the passenger so Igot a good look and feel of the car.

If I managed to sit on the drivers seat the model might think I am staring at her drool.gif and I might get kicked out for harassment.

Well take it from a guy who spent alot of time in the rear seat of the Avante during KLIMS. I sat in front and adjusted the front seat to suit me best (mind you im almost a 6 footer). Then i sat right behind that to see the legroom. And it was really GENEROUS. Then i walked over to the Sonata just a few metres away, did the same thing and walked back to the Avante. Repeated that about 3 times before leaving KLIMS, logging on lowyat and posting my comments.

By the way, the pic i posted was from a website. I didnt have a pic of the rear seat of my own.

That pic might be misleading because when I sat at both the front and back they surprisingly both gave me a very spacious feeling. I think you really need to check out the car personally. You might also be surprised. smile.gif
