I am e vaio ea16 user..bought it last year..i also use the white colour one..so, loving it..very nice laptop..nice design..however..why the price has come cheaper now..the ea36 ones..they've should maintain the price..

anyway today my vaio suddenly has blue screen , and of course it went by so fast that i did not know what went wrong. my laptop rebooted and everything seems to work fine. has anyone experience this before?

ive made a backup disc when i first bought it , have never tried it before? how do i actually use it? like formatting windows?

This is normal..just a crash..maybe system overload or hardware problem..
Yup..just like formating windows..insert the disc when booting the computer..then just follow the instruction..

thanks , its just that ive never really done it and i wonder if one day the OS wont boot , how do i use the disc. if its just like formating windows then im good.

Added on January 9, 2011, 1:13 amsince bluescreen may be because of hardware problem , should i send it to service centre to check? since it is still under warranty, dont know how their going to check tho, its not like the blue screen will appear again when they are troubleshooting it

Hi peeps I'm back...

Am FW user and I faced this prob quite some time.
I do remember that there's a programme appeared last time at the bottom right icon for "mouse control" such as pressure tap etc.
It's gone now, how can I solve this?

And 1 more prob, when I plug in pendrive, it will sometime said the device support 2.0, and may be run faster if plug to 2.0 USB port? Impossible mine are not USB2.0, though~~!

I don't think this is a hardware failure..otherwise you should face it all the time. To use the disc..just like formating windows..insert the disc..then boot your machine..

Try go to Control Panel.
Mouse -> Miscellaneous -> Tray Icon (Tick)

About the USB, try replug. Sometime this happened, nothing wrong with the USB port at your notebook.

curently my vaio vgn-cs16g always shut down when its hot or in heavy load....i think the internal cpu fan are not running.....how much if i send it to sony service centre? i dont know if its still on waranty or not because i got it as a present.....
