Dear all, just want to ask you all, how come after upgraded the Corsair Force 3 SSD for my Vaio S, it always delay and hang in booting to Windows screen? Anyone encounter similar problem before?

Anyone have any idea, i accidentally deleted partition recovery parition for my sony vaio model VGN-Z36GD?

I've tried redlding & reinstalling it, but to no avail. I thought of doing a clean Windows 8 install this weekend. Seems like a straight upgrade from Win 7 wasn't a good idea after all. Hopefully by then it's fixed. Just wondering, did you perform a clean install or an upgrade?

after clean install the one from 2008 so freaking slow, thought the hard drive is gone, but smehow it accessible just right.
the other one, when it on, the screen look blank, i heard the startup , thought it lcd problem
send it to repair not the distributor
thinking both have hardisk n lcd problem

after numerous try,
he said there's nothing wrong with hdd or lcd
, after that he gave up. weirdly enough
he calling the agent for sony
im there when he call it
the agent answer it straight.
both need to change cmos battery.
i think it hella pricey, since i had google it.

now. why the agent can answer it straight?
both vaio serve me well . but to have it kapun in same time after using new windows.
i start to think it windows problem that made my vaio kaput?
aware of this problem of mine. im giving a warning to all vaio user to hold the upgrading for current windows 8. or maybe it just my coincidence that both of my vaio going kaput after installing windows 8.

That's a pretty weird case. Feel sorry for your VAIOs. Pretty hard to say that Windows 8 is the cause though. As for mine, it's only 6 months old. I've been using Windows 8 for about 2 months now. So far I've only encountered problems with the Fn keys & safely remove hardware icon on the tray. I've managed to solve the Fn keys issue by uninstalling the VAIO Control Center & reinstall it. Need to restart the PC twice, once after uninstallation, once more after reinstalling. So far those two are my only gripes bout migrating to Windows 8. Other than that it's a really nice experience.

Maybe for 08/09 vaio series.

Laptop running vista always cause trouble when trying to change to other windows .either upgrade or downgrade.

Windows 8 work great on my vaio f series (2010).

yup mine with these version,still, with this horror experience i think ill pass.couldnt afford to danger my 3rd gen vaio, ill cntnue to use the windows 7

So today, I have play around the Duo. Nicely built quality. Smooth too.

If you want slate hybrid, this certainly a good choice. Just that i wonder if we will see more apps on Windows 8 store so that it will be fully utilize. Right now, browsing using touch (slate mode) is good.

Feel bored after a few month using windows 8.

But one app that i cant live without in windows 8 is xbox music..

Free music. Able to browse artist/band sort by their album (released year) and save into playlist.

It Feel like i have all collection of my favourite artist in one apps.

my lappys screwed, it overheated any now my keyboard, is gone, trackpad gone, seems operating system crashed too. Warranty finished, if i sent to sony how much will they charge?

i have sent my lapppy there to change the HDD (still under warranty)...

as i can remember they stated the price list and charge on the wall.

just walk in there to estimate and prepare your budget to fix your lappy.
