hi, may i ask how to get the tiny silver dots effect on this awesome blue mecha?
*
that tiny silver dots was the result of painting using Mr. Color metallic blue spray can. glad you liked it, but i didn't like the effect sweat.gif

yeah it will work.. prime92 uses handpaint which looks good in a video, but the lack of retarder+thinning will result in rather obivous brush strokes.. word of caution tho, if you wanna silver-> clear red, make sure you have good control on the amount of clear red which comes out.. the more paint on a part, the darker the colour.. so make sure all parts get the same coat of paint ya!

Yeah please tell me very straight forward opinion so I can improve next time biggrin.gif (Since this is skill-related)

Note: I haven't spray the non gloss protection coat.

Also, I did only 1 hand... wanna see how can I improve in next part.... (beside buying air brush + compressor)

I want to ask about painting. I planning to paint my car with pearl white. Should I paint a black undercoat first?

This is very hard to explain; which i ll skip all the explanation.

Yes u could do that. balck base coat. but it will look very metallic.

if u want it look like pearl white at cars we normally see, i recommend to use pure white as base paint.

Hello, everyone... I have a question about metallics. I finally manage to get a nice candy color using Alclad II as a base...the question is, I now intend to seal it with a glossy finish. Will this affect the candy color? I know that Alclad II tends to dull when its gloss coated.....

Any help would be great.....

Well...normally I spray about 1-2 feet away...and probably leave it for about 1 day to dry...
