I bought black and white Tamiya acrylics from there for panel lining.

Of course there were plenty more, including metallic paints with X- series label. (if I'm not mistaken?)

Good luck hunting!

acrylics for panel lining? strange choice there.. people normally get enamel for panel lining..

@zheyuen: why would you choose acrylics over lacquer tho? they're more difficult to obtain.. lacquers are the way to go..

realize this is OT. ask on modelling thread la.. icon_rolleyes.gif

nvm la i guess it's ok to consolidate minor/simple modding techniques in this thread la. i think simple methods like type of paint/ panel lining still ok la.
if involve heavy modding (think chris' works) cut plastics drill holes special painting effect LEDs then go that thread la

I am noob, so try acrylic for panel lining. Result not that good lor, very "sandy".

BTW, where can source for enamel in Klang Valley? Most hobby shops don't sell enamel, only Mr Hobby's lacquer/acrylic only.

^^ try to dry it inside a/c room. It dries faster.

^ tried gold marker too myself, and it was very uneven. Will try my Pentel brand gold next time, mix with retarder perhaps.

If u stay or work near PJ area, feel free to come visit, lepak, or even bring your kit to work here to work.

We dont do postage, so if u r thinking of getting tools n paints by postage, these 2 r pretty good choices:

oldman's Hobbies Corner : http://www.hobbiescorner.com/

Tkting's Mgs2u : http://mgs2u.com/shop/

both will work fine. airbrush, industrial paint, spraycans, handpaint with bottles paints. all will work. even using whiteboard markers will work. just a question on how nice it will look..
