No worries, it was really clear, thanks for sharing. Did they specify flat or gloss for their clear paint or just label as clear paint?

yes, its quite fine to have bubbles. you shake a water bottle also will have bubbles right? and it is NOT supposed to be thick, otherwise it won't flow properly.

it will not harden, but dry up, as with any other liquid. but this is only if you've opened it, and not used it in a long long time. to "liquidify" it again, mix with enamel thinner and it should be ok again.

what is enamel thinner? use the search function at the bottom of the page, or ask uncle google.

After put the bottle in the water, the precipitates breaks! thanks Twobad for ur advice!

hmmm. oic its not so thick la eh. now for me quite thick abit lah tp still cair hoho. the color compare to previous one with the precipitate. kaler dkat gunpla pun mcm nk taknak je kaler dia tongue.gif
but now seems ok!

shauno, if mix with enamel thinner, the color still same la eh? not faded eh? so its back to paint thinner ratio again lah ouh? hehe
hehe i have enamel thinner. TAMIYA X-20 Thinner 250ml blush.gif

Thanks2 again for both of ur advice. really2 appreciate it notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Not lacquer only, other paint will make the plastic become brittle as well. Unless you buy the newer MG kit like Nu Ver.ka which their plastic is paint friendly.
Lacquer paint was quite popular, they gave a lot of varieties. Take gaianotes paint as example, you can see the types of colors they offered. So there are a lot of people paint their kit with lacquer paint. I think a layer of primer could at least protect the plastic from directly "eat" by lacquer paint.
If you want to use acrylic paints, I would recommend vallejo paints because they also have many types of paint.

i want to ask, does this applies to gundam markers too? making the plastic brittle?

i had an mg, where a part of the inner frame i coloured it with the markers, (in the end realizing it wont show anyways) and then i erase using the gundam marker eraser. did dat a few times iinm, to clean that part.

then when i attempt to connect it to the shoulder part, not yet connect, just nearly, it patah by itself. im trying to find out the reason behind it broken, so i wont do the same mistake again. thanx in advance ya. notworthy.gif

So far I don't have any problem with marker pen, been detail up my model kits and they still in good condition. I'm not sure though, maybe cause by the marker eraser, maybe it consist some sort of thinner or alcohol. Although I have marker eraser but I don't use it, I just wipe excessive paint with Mr. Paint Remover. I think you should ask some pro and experience modeler to confirm this and clear your doubt. To be honest I'm not so familiar with paints and thinner things, sorry that I couldn't help you. sad.gif

I need advise, PG Wing Zero Custom's waist has a piece of red part that's made of bendable rubber material
when assemble it needs to be flexible and able to bend in order to put it in
how do I paint it or what I need to do to prevent paint from cracking/chipping?

Hi Sifus,

I currently working on an astray blue and I am planning to use a gold marker for panel lining. How do you remove the excess gold marker? Unlike the black panel marker, you can remove it with an eraser. To further add in, I have already custom colored the surface with Tamiya Gun Metal. I saw on a blog that you can remove the excess with the paint remover; however won't this remove my base paint as well?

not sure if Gundam Marker Eraser works without removing your base paint hmm.gif
if can't, the other option would be using markers from stationary shops like Artline, Sharpie, etc
it's cheaper than Gundam Marker, and more bling bling, plus can remove using WD40 easily without ruining your base paint icon_rolleyes.gif
