QUOTE(shauno @ May 25 2011, 02:31 PM) yes, to reduce silvering, you need to gloss coat first before decaling. if clear stickers how? QUOTE(amduser @ May 25 2011, 02:58 PM) maybe your house not so humid, or maybe because i close my windows, door and curtain all the time, room temperature kinda low even though outside hot, maybe that's the cause? feel like buying those silica gel and put in my drawer so i think i should do this now, panel line > dry decal > gloss coat > water decal > gloss coat? i'm not sure if my panel marker is spoiled or what, my color of my grey marker sometime very wash out, is it water more than the gray colour, while black is different, and after 1 or 2 hours later, i accidentally touch the marker while sticking dry decal the marker came off must half submerged the spray can in hot/warm water 1st, this will give finer spray

QUOTE(shauno @ May 25 2011, 04:10 PM) btw, why would you wanna use the dry decals if you have waterslides? i try to avoid clear stickers like the plague. they're hopeless for me. dry transfer (not to be confused with clear stickers) or waterslide for me.. me too, but if really no option for waterslide decals leh? like currently my MG ReZEL C-Type

QUOTE(daydreaming @ Jul 4 2011, 01:45 PM) midvalley is a hopeless place. ACE Hardware's finest sandpaper is 320 =_= Jusco staff donno if Jusco sells sandpaper and XL Shop only has "fine" tamiya polishing compound. omg...in the end i wasted my lunch time and could only get a brush ! u sure u find the correct section? cos i bought my 1200, 1500, 2000 grit sandpaper frm there the 1 u saw most probably is the heavy duty type

QUOTE(Odinn @ Jul 8 2011, 01:21 PM) Hey guys, Just finished spray painting some parts, noticed that excess paint leaked onto parts which aren't supposed to be colored. How can I remove the excess spray paint cleanly apart from using a flat, metal piece like a hobby knife? Preferably without scratching the plastic.. can try using Mr. Paint Remover or Gundam Marker Eraser QUOTE(amduser @ Jul 8 2011, 01:51 PM) then what's the difference between resin and plastic? so far gunpla is all plastic? plastic is a general name, there r alot of different type of plastic with different composition jz like metal u have iron, aluminium, steel, etc

QUOTE(rayloke @ Jul 18 2011, 12:47 AM) It means the smoothness of the surfacer: the higher the number, the smoother it is. Eg, if u r building something very glossy like a new car model kit, use 1200. normal gundam semi gloss, use 1000. doing rough surface like iron cast effect on a tank, use 500. It's not a must, but it will ease things up. ic, thx for the info
