yeah, you'll get better as you go on. painting is not as difficult as everybody thinks it is.

if you're using spray cans, the best thing you can do is to spray from a distance, and use light coats. don't spray directly, but rather use a sweeping motion. a few light coats is better than one heavy coat.

do more, then you will feel poisoned by AB pretty soon! 

why want to make paint dry slower? to get better consistency of color tone across the kit?

how much did a spray can cost in normal hardware store?

so normally if hand painted, then we will paint the color first before do the panel lining using gundam marker?

let's say i want to color the inner frame with spray can, is it okay to use only masking tape to cover the armor part with take out? i too lazy to take out the wing of MG strike freedom, so much work

this is what i have in mind and not sure if it works.

1- now that i've filed it...i will get the higher grit sandpaper to sand it down

2- use gundam dark blue marker to paint n touch up. problem is, i asked the shop keeper...he refused to tell me which is the closest color ! so i might need to mix around black + default blue :T

3- once dry, use Tamiya polishing compound coarse and fine to make it glossy

your silver is still too thin layer. it needs a slightly thicker coat. industrial paint's particles are quite big..

yeah, you'll need another thin layer. tbh, i think if you're doing a metallic red, you should do this

black -> silver -> clear red

imo, the silver will make or break this project, so better to invest in mr hobby or tamiya silver. color will be better.

just realized there are 3 different kinds of top coat.

flat/matte , semi-gloss, gloss

i think flat/matte shld b good ? gloss gonna make gundam look like shiny sports car
