i for one have been a fan for quite sometime...here in lyn or anywhere else in this world. and i've been stickin my goons through thick n thin. i sometimes can be critical and sometimes not. but this season has been the shittiest season i've endured so far for my past 29 years. to say we've been unlucky with injuries are just pure excuses that we've been using for quite some time. We just NEED BETTER PLAYERS IN, and NO ONE OUT...well, except for some mediocre players.
i really thought this season is the season we'd clinch our 19th but that's not the case anymore. the worse has over shadowed the shankly spirit and all i see now are gloomy days and thunder storms. May we all never walk alone, and always held our heads high, in silence. |

At times like, we should hold our hands and souls together and sing this song, rather then ranting about away goal, rafa, 19th for MU, blah blah.. coz in the end, regardless of what it is, Its still Liverpool. our beloved club.
When you walk through a storm hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark. At the end of a storm is a golden sky And the sweet silver song of a lark. Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain, Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown. Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone, You'll never, ever walk alone. Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone, You'll never, ever walk alone. |

skeleton: Your comments and obervations leave me no choice but to question your intelligence. There isn't a point in posting nonsense here. If you think your opinions are solid ones, come for our gathering this Sunday and express them unless you fear you lack substance. I know that fans are supposed to stand together but I can't help but question your pedigree.
Back to the game. I have to admit that I had gone out drinking the night before, not planning to stay up for the game. Didn't have a good feeling. Came back just before midnight and was thinking about setting my alarm to 3am. Said to myself, "forget it. if it's meant to you, you'll get up". Low and behold, I got up at about 3:30am. Got out of bed, turned the telly on and saw Agger's goal disallowed for offside. I must say that I was both surprised and proud that we ripped into Atletico from the word "go". The boys were up for it and so were the fans. "Could it be another one of those special European nights at Anfield?", I thought to myself. Alas it was not to be as Diego Forlan struck to knock us out. It just had to be him, scoring in both legs. Nonetheless, the lads did us proud this morning. You could see they never stopped running and working. Having said that, Atletico put in a decent effort as well. At least they mustered a few shots on goal unlike us in the 1st leg. I disagree that Babel had a really poor game. I thought he was decent and held the ball up well. That's the beauty of it though. That two people watching the same game can have differing views and opinions. |

QUOTE He said: "Someone said we needed four or five players. I would more or less agree with that. That is what we have to do. Liverpool is a massive club. There has been a change in the last two or three years. We have had to balance the books and manage in this way." After you have been here for six years, after bringing in your own management team, after rightly or wrongly revamping the academy, having bought and sold as many players as you have and having guided Liverpool to one of its worst seasons ever in recent times... you still want to blame the lack of players??? F*CK YOU RAFA!!! Just admit that you've made a few mistakes this year and most will happily let you stay a few more seasons. Stop moaning Otherwise get the f*ck out and bring your ego to Juventus. Don't let the door hit you on the way out! |

You have always been supportive of Rafa, but have you once laid out reasons why?
Many of us have stated exactly why Rafa isn't up to the task, and everytime you would come out with your sarcastic remarks. Tell us why then should Rafa stay? God knows that this thread is in serious need of a 'proper' debate nowadays. |

I thought Rafa just got his hands 100% on the player's transfer this season?
And it has been stressed a lot of times...if Rafa won't go, we can't sack him due to financial reasons. I'd say...give him another season. |

QUOTE(madmoz @ Apr 30 2010, 10:43 AM) You have always been supportive of Rafa, but have you once laid out reasons why? I have to agree. I've been asking the same question for 2 seasons now and have realised that when people don't have facts, they make such remarks. "You think so easy to run a country ah? You run it lah". You think so easy to run a club ah? You run it lah". Insightful indeed. Many of us have stated exactly why Rafa isn't up to the task, and everytime you would come out with your sarcastic remarks. Tell us why then should Rafa stay? God knows that this thread is in serious need of a 'proper' debate nowadays. Having said that I won't mind seeing Rafa at the helm for another season if we kick the yanks out. I know Rafa has his faults and I'm critical of him as well but let's let him have his way and see if he's merely making excuses. |

God knows that this thread is in serious need of a 'proper' debate nowadays. On a serious note, I thought Liverpool did decently when it comes to transfer, apart from a few bad purchases of players, we hardly had a chance to keep players. I know Rafa should have done better with Alonso, but c'mon, if a player ain't performing, which cost us wins, what's the reason of keeping em? I've said it before, how many Berbatov, Shevchenko, Jeffers purchases can we make? One and that's it, bad Rafa.... No offense but Arsenal hasn't won a single trophy for like how long? And what did Arsene Wenger get? Not forgetting almost lost a 4th place to their London rivals Spurs. WTF WTF WTF Actually leh, the only reason I want Rafa to stay is because I don't think there's any managers in the market these days have the credibility to bring Liverpool forward. I do not like his purchases as well, I want a creative winger!!!! Not a utility player. |

God knows that this thread is in serious need of a 'proper' debate nowadays. I can see he worked hard. He brought us silverware. He signed us good players that strengthen our squad. And I'm grateful for he has done for Liverpool. I have explained why we have shitty season. Injuries and inconsistent form of our players. I don't F*CK Rafa for that. The semi-final match against At.Madrid, it either win or lose. I'm regret for the defeat. I don't F*CK Rafa for that. Now we got defeated and you jump out with the F-word. What if we win against At.Madrid? You diam-diam celebrate like glory hunter? What if we win the both semi and final game and grab the silverware, will you F*CK Rafa? What if we lose in final game against Fulham? You jump out with the F-word? What is this? Likewise, I'll support you wholeheartedly if you are the manager of Liverpool. |

I'd be happy if we can keep Gerrard and Torres injury free at least 3/4 of next season. Aquilani and Benayoun too...
If you look back at this season, Rafa is right we were hit by injuries this season...its known since 2-3 seasons ago, our depth wasn't as good as Chelsea, Man U or Arsenal (heck even Everton!), and this we aren't doing well when our star players are out. Gerrard, Torres, Aquilani, Benayoun, Johnson are attack-minded game winners and missed a chunk of this season.... At least when Drogba was briefly out, Anelka/Lampard/Malouda all were able to step up. When Rooney/Owen is out, Nani/Giggs/Scholes did score some important winning goals When van Persie/Fabregas/Arshavin is out, Benthner/Nasri/Rosicky did enough to secure some points for them. When Torres/Gerrard is out, N'gog didnt perform good enough and our other SS/AMF in Aquilani and Benayoun wasn't available most of the time too due to injuries... Pray for the best next season! I hope Maxi and Aquilani settles down and start playing more free flow football next season. And Rafa, plz sign someone who has a good record of being fit...not another glass cannon This post has been edited by kazuki85: Apr 30 2010, 11:14 AM |

Before the match started, I already questioned about playing Glenny on the left. You clearly, don't play 2 players out of their usual position in such an important match. The fact that Glenny likes going forward means we would have problem dealing with the attacks on the left from Ath Madrid which they are strong in , in the likes of Reyes and Valera. In the end, we did concede the goal from the left side and the one conceded is none other than Glenny. This post has been edited by solstice818: Apr 30 2010, 11:12 AM |

How long exactly have I been anti-rafa? Since we started losing? Not really, ask around... I have been calling for his head for a good few seasons now, and have been warning that the 'shit will soon hit the ceiling soon' even during the good times. Rafa is no doubt a good manager, but is he really suited for the task at hand? And OMG, his constant moaning and politicking! |
