This is mine. I have a Gigabyte K8NS Ultra 939 and amd64 3000+ winchester.. 2.3ghz is most i can get. 2.4 isn't stable anymore. Dont know why....only ran 2 1/2 hrs stress test...if it doesnt show error now dun think it will show after 3 hrs....? Using stock cooling and Corsair Value select 256x2. 580w PSU...

here is my latest result on newcastle 754 3000+

262 * 9.5 = 2489Mhz

running at 1.525 * 1.10 = 1.6775 Vcore

original HSF @ air cooled.

my processor can't seem to reach 2.5Ghz no matter how much vcore i put in. maybe i've reach my processor limit. lousy proc i got here

if want fast result either ur proc is stable or not try running small fft rather than
running blend.

btw can u stat what stebbing and batch ur proc is... maybe u get CBBID too like mine

its printed on ur proc surface. must be u didnt see it though.

its just as reference so u can compare with others. if u got CBBID 0503 like mine
mostly people can clock up to 2.2-2.5max. unlike those people with older batch
number and stepping such as CBBHD 0445SPAW which can reach up to 2.7
to 3.0.

dont get the wrong idea CBBHD is a good stepping for 3000+/3200+
only. just refer to the table on 1st post n u'll see lots of people on CBBHD
can OC high. but CBBID works fine on 3500+.

What is ur temp @ full load---2.5Ghz.
Suggest u try blowing a fan next to ur rig with casing open if its hot when priming. My proc results in 50 Mhz more when the temp reduce below 50degrees at full load. At stock 62 degrees full load. 12 degrees cooler result in 50 Mhz increment for me.

have anyone encounter problem where ur cool n quite function
CANT be disabled. i noticed that i disabled both cool n quite setting in
bios and corecell i'm still having problem the fan throthling.
on idle my stock fan at 3.9K rpm and when temp reaching 47degres
the fan rotate at 4.9k.
i tried on all bioses that in case my bios have problem. currently on 1.41mod
before this i'm on 1.36mod. i also tried the latest one where i still having the
same problem.
help???

Sempron Palermo seems to have similar stepping as Winchesters. There's one review from Xbit labs having CBBID for Sempron 2600+, easily cranked up to 300mhz htt clocking 2.5ghz.

I'm getting 3000+ version with 9x multi... but dunno yet what stepping will I get from dinster's bulk. Hope can get a good one to play with.

my full load temp is around 59-60 degree celsius.

personally i dun think it's temp prob my cpu can't push any higher. wonder wat is the average oc limit for a 754 3000+ i heard a number of ppl can push it pass the 2.5 barrier. but sadly mine cannot (

haha actually i did tried once on 1.55 * 110 % but no difference also.

couldn't be push any higher. the processor jz stuck at 2450-2480Mhz.

it's benchable, stressable ( memtest ) at that speed but once you go above 2480 it it's not even bootable.

my mobo also got fan speed throttling.. [hotter temp, fan spin faster]
but IMO its not CnQ
CnQ is where ur proc will change speed by the changes of multiplier

but not mine. I had the same board as rzone, but i dont have fan speed throtlling.
Maybe mine is the first rev of Neo2 while rzone got the latest one.

Rzone i dont think there is anything wrong with the board though.
If u got everything working fine, then there is nothing to be afraid of. Passing prime and all those 3dmark scores u submit are the sign of nothing wrong with the mobo.

Mr. Postman came with my proc on Friday morning. Sadly I wasn't home to receive it and by the time I got home it was 6pm

Too bad I can't have the weekend overclocking my CAA2C. Also just sold off my modded and sleeved Antec Trueblue. When the CPU arrives on Monday can't test also as it will be sometime until I get a OCZ 600W Powerstream. Currently selling the rest of my parts over at OCAU forums
