PCcrazy, you're right about the weather being hotter in Malaysia but that's only during summer smile.gif. A hot day can go upto 41C which is very very hot and i've never experienced that kinda heat before in KL.

Now it's autumn in Sydney. So temps have dropped a lot and at the moment, my room ambient temp is 26C which is pretty cool. My 2600+ Mobile is currently idling at 33C and max load is 36C smile.gif

Can't wait till winter when ambient temps drop to single digit numbers biggrin.gif

EDIT: Btw, bootable screenie sounds good too! Just so we have a rough idea how much further their CPU's can go with better cooling and higher vcore's thumbup.gif
*
here in miri, a typical hot day temp would be at least 40'C outside, because we're quite near to the sea. i still remember somewhere around august last year while having our drag race event, the temp was exceeding 50'C in the hot sunny afternoon! that was measured using Nokia 5210 sweat.gif

currently my room temperature is at 31'C with aircond and fan off, just windows opened sweat.gif

edit: sorry for being off-topic blush.gif

pordon bout my limited knowledge.
is it sempron using stepping such as CBBHD?

dont get the wrong idea CBBHD is a good stepping for 3000+/3200+
only. just refer to the table on 1st post n u'll see lots of people on CBBHD
can OC high. but CBBID works fine on 3500+.
*
Sempron Palermo seems to have similar stepping as Winchesters. There's one review from Xbit labs having CBBID for Sempron 2600+, easily cranked up to 300mhz htt clocking 2.5ghz.

I'm getting 3000+ version with 9x multi... but dunno yet what stepping will I get from dinster's bulk. Hope can get a good one to play with.

hmmm.....

QUOTE(destr0yer@www.xtremesystems.org @ 04-08-2005 03:41 PM)
My 0502 CBBID 3000+ cooled by stock cooler get max OC stable at 2610 mhz @ 1.63 volts (290 x 9) in the coldest's days (My case is open 24/7)

Now running @ 310 x 8 1.1 (mens: 2x 512 TCCD Patriot 2,5-4-4-7 2T/1T) stable 24/7
1.50 vcore and 3.00 vmen

Max FSB @ 1.1 tested: 320 x 8 1T and get 8024 mbps @ Everest smile.gif

If change @ 270 x 9 and keep another settings and voltages, it is very unstable

Strange... Bad memory controler?

i've been collecting a database of winchesters over at [H], here's what i have for 0501 and 0502.
3000+  CBBID 0502 BPAW 2500 700 1.6 air dmonkey
3200+  CBBID 0501 DPDW 2358 358 1.45 air BaNaNaS
3200+                      0501  2270 270 1.4 air MrSlacker
3200+  CBBID 0502 APDW 2520 520 1.8 air arnemetis
3500+  CBBID 0501 FPMW 2707 507 1.725 Water  mr_ouija

looks like hit and miss from that extremely limited sample wink.gif
note that the 6th column is the mhz oc over stock

QUOTE(shiyan@www.ocforums.com @ 02-16-05, 06:55 PM)
3000+ CBBID 0502

needs 1.45v to be stable at 2.3Ghz (9x255) with stock cooler

rest of system:

Asus A8N SLI Deluxe (do not get this board)
2x512MB old twinmoss PC3200 (don't have money for new faster RAM, running them at 210Mhz)
enlight 460w PSU (don't have the 24 pins)

QUOTE(Needitcooler@www.ocforums.com @ 02-20-05, 12:19 PM)
3200+ CBBID 0502. I can do 2.4 GHz stock. 2.5 takes 1.6 volts. 2.6 takes 1.7 volts.

looks like my CBBID Palermo is not that good also. at stock vcore (1.4v) only prime stable up to 215*9 with no divider. but my mobo undervolts by 0.025v. full load temp at stock vcore at that setting already reach 50'C sweat.gif

i guess the as5 haven't settled in yet, or maybe bcoz of the stock cooling. or maybe the ihs is not making proper contact with the core tongue.gif

Mine doesn't seem to look too good. So far Super Pi 1M benchable at 300*8 with 1.5V*110% straight out of the box.

Just started to do some burn-in. But I think my temp is kinda okay. I'm using stock heatsink only. Burn-in at 313*8 with 1.525V*113%.

My mobo seems like undervolting quite a lot sweat.gif

Stepping CBBID 0502DPAW.
