At 300MHz HTT, I can do SuperPi 1M and 2M stable.... but cannot do 4M and higher.

Do I need more voltage on the CPU? It is already 1.3V * 136%. Is it because of the memory controller sucky? It's kinda weird coz most Palermo out there usually runs 2.4-2.5ghz speed with 1.6V or less.

Or could it be because of high temperature that it produces error during stress test? I'm only running on stock AMD aluminium heatsink... haha laugh.gif Still waiting for my XP-90 which is coming in a few days.

I already run RAM/FSB divider at 2/3 so that my RAM runs at 200mhz. RAM is set at 2-2-2-5 with 2.6V (Memtest stable for hours).

CPU : Sempron 2800+ Palermo DH8-D0
Stepping : LBBID 0514CPMW
CPU VID : 1.3V * 136%
HTT : 300MHz
Multi : 8x
LDT : Auto
RAM : 200mhz, 2-2-2-5-1T @ 2.6V
AGP : 66MHz, 1.5V
Chipset : 1.6V
(Every else is set at default)

Refering to post 1102,

Soulfly, I guess it's because of the high temp. 54 degrees is by all means not a desirable temp. If you could get below 45, I think this chip might fly.

Looks like a bit overvolt. Default Vcore for Sempron is 1.4V

Anyway.... your E6 can do prime stable at that speed?

newbie here.. how u guys OC?? juz increase the FSB enough?? in the bios??

AMD Sempron 2800+ 1600Mhz s754
Multiplier x 8
FSB 200Mhz

Default:-
200Mhz x 8 = 1600Mhz

OC:-
300Mhz x 8 = 2400Mhz

if using stock CPU fan n stock PSU.
wat is the temperature??
can get burn??
can it damages other components??

stock psu is dangerous, can damage the mobo or hdd, or other component.

stock cpu fan is not really dangerous... i'm using it to OC at 300*8 ... max temp is no more than 54'C with normal room temperature at full load. it all depends on the cpu. sempron k8 usually runs at a bit lower temp compare to athlon64 at the same speed, bcoz of smaller cache.

My icute psu giving me good rail compare to my other mobo. It giving me constant +5v and +12v . So i gonna use icute for this rig n purepower for 2ndary rig. biggrin.gif

wah wah ..latest news..

i think im lucky ..i dont know what is my revision model

but mine is E6 sempron 64 2800+

update my bios asus K8n 1008...

i dont OC..but jz wanna try out

295 Mhz X 8 = 2360 Mhz 2.36 gig from 1.6 gig = 760 mhz increase = 47.5 % increase after o/c

HT set to 3,using ddr 333 set from ddr 300....
so memory instead of 200 mhz..running at 295 Mhz...

Ht X 3 = 295* 3 =885 instead of stock 800 mhz bus..

running stable....

Vdimm stock.....Vcore also stock....AGP clock also stock..all running stock

i did set to 300 getting 2.4 gig from 1.6 gig....can boot.....windows got registry error.....so i set till 295 never bother 296 till 299...

can see windows performance increase very dramatically...

yahoo

hopefully asus come up with new bios which i can set my vcore, and v dimm manually.....and the fsb i can set till 350.....
