QUOTE(davidwyl @ May 23 2010, 06:19 AM) CM user also can update it to froyo now... there are quite a number of problem if you read along at xda-developers thread on froyo. There are 16 pages at written timehttp://android.modaco.com/content/google-n...ted-update-zip/ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=686631 never try yet. still reading ... just make sure i wont lost my data.... still wondering how to keep my apps, since froyo support apps to sd, hot the app2sd and the one in Froyo work?? how can i keep my apps if i wipe the ext partition?? a bit confuse still.... all the master maybe/please advise.... So, I would suggest all of us to wait till CM releases its polished update on Froyo. Just my personal opinion though |

Get this if you have a custom rom. No pre-requisites.
QUOTE(paulobrien) You may have heard that FRF50, Froyo, is here for the Nexus One! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=686631I took some quick time out of my weekend-with-family-visitors to repack it so it has no pre-requisites unlike the official release. This also means you can flash via the usual custom recovery image, and i've unlocked the boot image and added ChainsDD's excellent Superuser app too. I've included the radio image in the repack, as it's in the real FRF50 release! Kitchen, de-odex pack, Superboot, MCR release with all the usual goodies and much more to follow next week. FRF50 - DOWNLOAD (MediaFire Pro +ROMraid / CoBlitz) Enjoy! P |

Running Android Froyo 2.2
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros - Speedy even without OC. - Compatible with pershoot UV/OC 2.6.33.4 or 2.6.34 kernel. - Linpack performance as mention, huge increasing than Eclair 2.1 ROM. - Adobe Flash 10.1 beta can be download at Market Store and working. - Smoother Launcher2. - Some graphics enchancement. - New widgets added. - Intergrate Tethering & portable hotspot. - Data Access On Off Function. - Fast boot-up time. Cons - Metamorph seems not working. XDA forum got thread of non working apps in froyo. - Some paid apps is missing in Market Store. - Apps2SD is not able to move the app if the app is not redesign for froyo. Using below command fix the issue. Make Apps2SD working - adb remount - adb shell pm setInstallLocation 2 This post has been edited by Andrewtst: May 23 2010, 10:36 AM |

Already on Froyo thanks to the guide. Still playing around ... but yes the whole thing look faster. Some apps would not work as it should e.g Handcent, Jorte, CNDict and Ghost Radar - reinstalling does not work, I suspect error is caused by incompatibilities with Froyo.
Can someone advice me on the Install to SD card thing ? I'm not sure whether it is built into Froyo or you will need App2SD? This post has been edited by hye: May 23 2010, 10:48 AM |
