N1 won't increase price la as it is meant to be developer phone, other phones such as galaxy S has more features than our N1 but I still love the N1 as it brought me to develop my android apps smile.gif

My N1 is currently suffering from frequent reboot when comes under heavy use (playing 'Skies of Glory') or becomes warm (using GPS for more than 1 hour).

So far, the phone never reboots or restarts under other conditions. I am suspecting a faulty battery with an unstable power supply or low memory (quite unlikely since the internal phone storage is currently available @ 72.36MB).

I have emailed HTC and called Google Nexus One in US to troubleshoot/pinpoint the problem to the battery. So I am going to call HTC Singapore tomorrow to claim the warranty on the battery and see if they can have it delivered to Malaysia via their distributor here (SiS Disribution Sdn Bhd).

In the mean time, is there anyone here suffering from the same fate as my N1?

This is a base system framework update, which gives enhanced sound processing capabilities to 2.2-based phones. A simple application called DSPManager is provided to adjust the new audio parameters.

user posted image

Dynamic Range Compression
The power of signal is estimated by calculating the mean of the sample data. The mean is converted to decibels, and adjusted to the DRC curve. The current curve is simply linear, mapping the original -96 dB–0 dB range to some smaller region such as -48 dB—0 dB (factor 2.0:1). Once a correction is established, it is applied along the track's volume control.
Equalizer
Biquad-based audio filter. 3 peaking band equalizers are spaced 4 kHz apart starting from 250 Hz, and a final shelve adjusts the treble band. Bass is emulated as global gain, and compensated by the other sliders.
Headphone Virtual Room Effect
A delayed, phase modified and lowpass-filtered version of the opposite channel is added to the current channel. The processing pipeline is pure delay, 3 all-pass filters of varying delays, and the final lowpass filter. The theory is that the audio from the other ear takes longer to reach the other ear, and is partially obscured by the head resulting in the lowpass filtering. The allpass filters decorrelate the phase of the other audio stream, which makes the filter seem more natural for some psychoacoustic reason.

If you are running CyanogenMod, it's probably not necessary to use the DSPManager application. It is currently provided by the update in any case.

I had some reboot issues recently. Turned out it was due to corrupted cache. I went into recovery and wipe the cache and dalvik-cache. No more reboots after that.

Developer phones or ADP are the phones issued by Google for registered Android developers. It has unlocked bootloader and custom rom that includes a kernel with the debugging switches turned on, among others. You can only purchase the ADP through a developer account. To date, there has been only two ADPs, the G1 (HTC Dream) and ADP2 (HTC Magic). The N1 is the ADP3, although it is not available yet for the time being (scroll a couple of pages and read what I posted on this suspicious delay).

rclxms.gif Excellent job.
You shouldnt use swap anymore because it will kill your SD. The newer kernels are optimized to run without swap.

if your apps are in sd then yes it'll at least load up faster, but if most of your apps are in internal memory, i doubt got any difference other than maybe when loading games. So far fastest microsd is class 6 that i saw, no class 10 yet.
