Generally from a bodybuilder's point of view, I don't recommend weight gainers because most of the time they're loaded with too much simple sugars.

However if you're an underweight female, I've heard that Cytosport Cytogainer's good stuff.

I've seen results from Ultimate Nutrition's Muscle Juice and Optimum Nutrition's Serious Mass.

These are the economical onces that give you value for the buck.

I'm taking Muscle Juice and True Mass now (sorry darkie) but it works for me. I combine half a serving each and I have gained 2 kgs in less than a week. 2 servings a day.

Are you just starting out? This is totally just my opinion, but I think you can get away with just eating more in general (preferably whole foods) for now rather than having to spend a crapload of money on supplements which are incredibly expensive on a calories/ringgit basis.

In that case, why not just buy more chicken/fish/steak/oats/potatoes/etc. with the money you would've used on the supplements? It'll be a lot more enjoyable to consume than any reconstituted weight gain powder being sold in the stores.

I bet can you my left nut with absolute certainty that wholesome caloric dense natural foods will beat mass gainers anytime, anyday, period. And any successful bodybuilder will tell you the same thing.

That said, unless someone is seriously on a time constraint, then they're a last resort.

besides fitness concept, only jusco pharmacy sells this (i think).
i don't usually go for pharmacy weight gainer as i think they are overpriced. and horley is no exception.

UN's Real Gains is not bad. And so is BSN's True Mass. True Mass is expensive tho. But it's gooodddd! Very comprehensive nutrient profile and great protein:carbs ratio. Barely any sugars too.

currently im 50kg/165cm(thin), i want to gain weight and muscle at the same time.

what brand of supplement can u guys recommend me?should i go for weight gainer or whey protein?

help me pls XD really no idea what to get and not too over price. thx

fren suggested me to get bsn true mass to gain weight before going whey protein? can advise me?

If you really want to take weight gainer, I'm taking BSN True Mass and UN MuscleJuice. I mix 1 1/2 scoop True Mass and 1 scoop MuscleJuice, 2 servings a day, with a proper breakfast, lunch, and dinner with sufficient protein, taking 6-7 whole eggs a day, and I've gained 3kg in the past 2 weeks plus. Of course weight gainer is not a must, but it is very convenient for me. Whey protein on the other hand (for me) is a must cuz I can't down 30 eggs a day... and I need the protein.

But then again, eggs are the cheapest alternative (if you're not worried about taking 30 yolks a day?)

dude whey protein is needed oso for ur daily protein intake so your muscles recover, thats the only way your body is going to get bigger/gain weight. i would seriously suggest u try eating a lot first and not rely on gainers unless u have really been eating alot for almost 3-4 weeks and still seeing no gains even after a consistent eating plan and workout routine.

but to answer ur question as a freakin chinaman with a money minded dad i went thru bata's list of mass gainers, and found one that I feel is the most worth.

its UN Isomass xtreme gainer.. it may look expensive, 290 for 30 servings BUT. bcuz 1 serving = 3 scoop,instead of using 3 scp u can use 1 scoop to add on to consume after a meal instead. thats about 200+ xtra calories with 21+g protein. ok it may not be as great as some others that have 500 calories even after splitting.. but its good proteins with calories u need. that way ur looking at 290 for 90 small servings, not 30. n ur body absorbs better if u give it time to, by splitting into more meals, rather than chug a big portion down straight.

just my rm0.02.if moneys not a prob go for BSN,cyto or ON.whichever u prefer biggrin.gif

If you are currently underweight and looking to put on weight, then get a weight gainer.

Once you have reached your desired weight, and if you wish to go further, switch to whey protein to continue packing on muscle mass.

notice both your options have eating consistently. try that first. if doesnt work, get a gainer.

im in d same boat bro, and ive opted to eat more consistently. but my personal preference would be whey protein, jussttt my opinion la. cuz i believe practising to eat more determines your weight gain greatly. its an experience you would want to gain and feel the accomplishment of gaining weight without a weight gainer first if possible.but its just my opinion. getting enough calories isnt a problem, i drink 1L milk a day on top of my meals. take more eggs in the morning and after workout.

my suggestion since u r underweight.
eat a lot and if u can afford weight gainer go for it.

don complicate things haha, if 2200 is what you need, can still smack on another 300-500 calories, just to make sure u gain. dont calculate too much on calories, just overeat abit and u confirm hit 2200 or more. but protein u have to try to eat at least the amount u calculated or more, helps a lot in recovery.

that mass u gain can be in form of muscle or fats. either way, still mass for u ma. can gain at the same time. as long as you are eating more calories than your body consumes, u will gain. very important golden rule.

u can use both.

ok. so the point is to remove the underweight by taking weight gainer and workout then lets say 60kg for me, then only start whey protein. correct?

please read the nutritional label before you purchase.
do not just look at the calories per gram you will get from the weight gainer.

if i remembered correctly, serious mass is more value for money in terms of calories, meaning more calorie/$$. Truemass on the other hand, has higher protein/carbs ratio. these were the findings when we compared Serious mass, Truemass, and muscle juice. (if i remembered correctly)
So depending on your goal, serious mass if u desperaetly wanna gain weight without minding a lil fat gain. I've gained 14Kg in 5 months using serious mass. However, i would like to point out that weight gainers are not magic powders.Taking whole food is way better. Slowly replace the weight gainer with whole food as u proceed.

also, it isnt just about eating. do u lift weights? if you wanna gain weight, it'll be easier if you lift weights, especially if you're a hardgainer like me haha. i tried eating a lot last time, but my weight still stagnant. now lifting weights and eating 80% consistently and resting has made me gained weight, i was at 58 about 3-4 months back now about 61-62kg.

the_torch is right. it depends on your goal and whether you mind the fat cuz weight gainers usually have a lot of calories. gaining weight is roughly based on this concept

calories in (from eating food) - calories out (how much our body needs or burns)
= whether you gain weight or not

if your calories in > calories out, u definitely will gain. if you're not eating more than your body needs/burns.. u simply wont gain. this is true even if you do not lift weights. but if you're a hardgainer (like me), no matter how much u eat u still cant gain - then you need to put your body in a state where it needs the protein to rebuild muscles, so you can gain muscle MASS, NOT BULGING MUSCLES that ppl are afraid of getting (if it were so easy to get that big who would still wana workout at a gym? lift at home few times and become the hulk la!). mass is what you want no? to get in that state, lift weights, start by following a strength training programme and eat enough.

ON. Scivation is great, taste and price wise but it doesn't have the enzyme blend that ON contains, which seems to make a difference to me.

While I was on ON, i never had gassiness. But now on scivation, I feel the gas brewing away.

but thats just me, everyone has a difference tolerance, so if you are not the type tat gets gassed up easy, then Scivation would be a good deal.

I'm mixing it with True Mass. MuscleJuice is one of the cheapest weight gainer around but its protein to carb ratio is very bad. So there are A LOT of carbs in it. Therefore you get more calories. And if you aren't an ecto like me most prolly you'll get a belly if you take it pre bed. It works for me tho. I'm having steady gains. Although bf% also rising a bit.

i found this weight gainer Muscle Juice Revolution 2600, 1 serving give up to 1k calorie compared to bsn true mass only 600 calorie per serving. also the protein muscle juice gives more. how come the diff so big on the calorie?

The main ingredients in a weight/mass gainer are maltodextrin and/or dextrose + some cheap protein (perhaps not even whey protein standard unless stated). They may add some other ingredients which are so small in quantity that they could be totally disregarded.

And when you look at some gainers which have high carb contents but very very low sugar levels, you may start thinking that they are good ones due to the low sugar levels. That's not true because maltodextrin is categorized by many supplement companies as a complex carb and hence does not fit into the "sugar" category. However, maltodextrin is extremely high in GI and would induce a great insulin spike upon consumption. Therefore, gainers are best consumed first thing in the morning or as a post workout shake.

I think that you could get maltodextrin in packets from local pharmacies. Shouldn't be too expensive. Definitely way cheaper than gainers though. Add a scoop of whey to your desired amount of maltodextrin + dextrose and you'll have a weight gainer. A lot of products can be self-made at a way cheaper price like Lipo 6, NO Xplode, True Mass etc etc. That would be bad for bata's business though. Lol.

Anyway how about ON Serious Mass?It is quite cheap as well,better than Muscle Juice?
Currently only afford to buy 1 type of weight gainer sweat.gif

just make sure u take weight gainer after meal coz some of them will make u feel bloated. dun use this as an excuse to skip solid meal.

fitday.com input the quantity of the food you consume. they show the protein carb fat n calories u consume for that day. i used it once. loved it. will do it every now and then to make sure im eating enough. I think your breakfast could use some more eggs haha. and dinner need meat beb. your 3 main meals breakfast lunch dinner sud have meat, and have giant postworkout meals too.

if u eat out a lot, mix rice and chicken rice should have enough cals and protein. take same amount of meat they would serve in 1 serving of chicken rice or more.

Oats are grains. they're carb based. the protein is miniscule.
http://www.elook.org/nutrition/grains/6656.html based on this site, your 150g of oats only gives 25.5 grams of protein.

i would recommend splitting the portion like what reubs say. after ur workout try to eat a huge meal, bigger portion of rice/noodles and lots n lots of meat with vege.

splitting the portion = less work on your stomach overall, better for digestion biggrin.gif wich promotes absorption. as compared to whacking all at 1 shot la IMO.

split it, although i'd recommend 1.5 scoop post workout, and 1.5 scoop before bed if you are estimating 3 scoops per day.

in the morning, nothing beats a wholesome breakfast. Use weight gainers in the morning only when you are in a rush and dont have enough time to prepare a proper breakfast for that morning smile.gif

hey guys, im an ectomorph here currently finishing off my final year in london before moving back in october. I started the working out back in october at about 59~60kgs with a detailed diet and routine.

I peaked at about 70kg around Feb but have since dropped down to 68kgs due to course demands (final year engineering.. was getting 2-3 hours sleep per night for the final three weeks before deadline and completely no time for gym OR a proper diet)

Anyway, Ill be bouncing around everywhere over the summer with no access to a gym but plan to start up with the weights once I get back, thing is, my diet was built around the cheapest sources of protein i could find.

It was basically something like this everyday

8 am. Bowl of oats in full milk and 6 boiled eggs

10.30am two slices of wholemeal bread with 4 heaped tablespoons of peanut butter

1pm Four slices of whole meal bread with a full can of tuna

4.30pm
preworkout: tub of cottage cheese
non-workout day/postworkout: protein shake with water

8 pm rice potatoes veg and chicken/beef

10.30pm two slices of wholemeal bread with 4 heaped tablespoons of peanut butter and protein shake with full milk

What I need from the sifus is both criticism and advice on my diet plan as well as suggested changes based on malaysian prices.
Any and all advice is appreciated!

ps. the only reason i used protein shakes was due to the availability of the powders for a lower price per gram of protein compared to normal foods. Im guessing that isnt an option in malaysia?

U need to learn how to study the nutrition fact of ur food and as well as ur supplement. Real gain is a weight gainer and Scivation whey is combination of iso and con whey with some bcaa. If i were u, i would probably take real gain for my post workout to take advantage of the carb contain. As for Scivation, i will mix it with glucose. smile.gif and i can take my scivation anytime in the day without ingesting excessive carbs.

p/s: most importantly is how much calories (protein, carbs, fat) u take in a day reflect how r u going to look like in the physical.

Hi guys, i was wondering if this ever happened to any of you,

Im currently taking nitrotech hardcore for over 4 months now, everything seems fine but SOMETIMES, lets say 1 in 15 times, i will have a stomach ache and have to take a dump, the sh!t that comes out looks kinda like how it went in.

I dont think other food causes it because it happens 1 hour right after i drink my protein shake

One of my gyms buddies brings a shaker with him filled with nitrotech, and downs it right after his workout.

10-15mins later, almost always I find him in the toilet..

I feel its the potent mix of other stuff aside from the whey protein. IMO most of those other ingredients should be taken after/with a meal to allow better absorption. Just look at the endless list of ingredients, look like a blend a protein powder and tonnes of multi vits + some other sh*t.

We need to take it through labs tests to be really sure exactly what it is though.

Y'know... during the days when I purchased supps at GNC, I'd see frail skinny guys guy Muscletech. The big ones get ON, Designer Whey, EAS, GNC house brand, etc. I don't know what's wrong. It's either they get fooled by the salespeople or they believe supplements are a magic formula. I mean look at angrydog. If you ever bump into him, you wouldn't believe him when he tells he doesn't take supps at all. But it's true. I've trained with him I know, he just relies on natural food but then the guy's appetite is like a bear fresh from hibernation. Seen him eat one whole nasi lemak with the works and 10 sticks of mutton satay. It's scary. Lol.

Forgot where i heard, Actually GNC house brand is taken from ON.

Still remember there are fools out there claiming tat nitrotech or watever tetek is the only way to achieve bodybuilder kind of body. Poor animal being slaughtered without being honoured by the protein that they give us.

yeap and i have came across one clip by Dexter Jackson, talking about how to push heavy bench press and ofcoz part of the clip was fouled by muscle tech as the host was asking "So does muscletech help in ur career?' then he ans "yeah yeah ofcoz, erm erm it helps me build muscle and more focus and etc.." and obvious he is reading from some script. lol. hi guys, heres a question, albeit not related to weight gainers, but supplements all the same.

What do you think of the Scivation whey compared to ON Gold Standard in terms of taste? Have been using Nitrotech (yea, yea) for the past 3-4 months initially, finishing my second tub soon.

Pound for pound, scivation is definitely cheaper, but I wouldn't mind paying a bit more (well, since I already bought 2 tubs of nitrotech lol). Is there any noted differences between these 2 brands?

im drinking the milk for like a mth ...and also 1 tin for the 1850 weight gain...now starting to consume the 2200 weight gain...hope can see some effect...its been a mth...i think the most i got was 1kg gain..will be glad enug to hit the 60kg at yr end...

GNC 2200 gainer is a waste if you as me.

1 tub only gives you 5 servings(3 huge scoops per serving).. so u are paying rm35 per serving? WTF rite.

Also, the carb to protein ratio is 400g carb : 50g protein. By far the WORST ratio I have ever seen.

If you want value for money, opt for ON Serious Mass or UN Muscle Juice.

your weight is not dependent on the weight gainer, instead it is on your daily caloric intake.

If you eat well and enough calories, you will be able to maintain the weight you gain, maybe even put on mass as you progress.(depending on your goals)

i dunno who told him but tats wat i'm doing basically.
everytime i take them, it's one scoop of whey + one scoop of weight gainer.
whey is not tat tasty on it's own but if u mix with weight gainer, it acts like sugar for ur coffee/tea if u know wat i mean.

We need at least 2:1 ratio.
Remember to gain weight, calories surplus is important.

dude to gain weight or lose weight or gain muscle. it is all about your diet.

the weight gainner is high in calories. calories can also b from whatever u eat everyday. when u eat more calories than ur body is burning, u gain weight. now u wana gain muscle, go workout and make sure u eat enough protein, take in more calories than ur body is burning n u will gain.

there is no magic potion that will make u turn into a muscular hot body guy. u have to EAT TRAIN N REST.

it is that simple. in fact it is not a must to take weight gainer or whey protein. it is only for those ppl who do not have time to even stop at McDonald's for a burger. or people who dont get enough protein in their daily diet.

To me it's important to try to make ur suppliment as tasty as possible. U can always blend ur whey with the extras like milk, bananas, strawberries, honey just to suit ur taste. In my case I add in weight gainer.

2 eggs !? 2 eggs is approximately 12g of protein , 10g of fat. That's very very little, more eggs perhaps ? you really need to eat more to push that scale out

you can always try a postworkout shake of whey blend, plus oats and blend it in a blender.

Or have a proper meal postworkout

Tex-Mex Chicken Rice

6 oz chicken breast, pre-grilled and cubed
1 1/2 cups brown rice, cooked
1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots
1 stalk celery, chopped
1/2 medium red bell pepper, chopped

calories can be found in any food. some contain more some contain less. after workout eat something like bread or rice, with lots of meat/protein. u need carbohydrates especially after a workout cuz ur body is dam tired.. need to recover the lost energy. 2 eggs is too little dude haha. u sud b eating 6 meals a day, each meal at least 1 chicken breast with rice and/or vege, and fats. roughly la.. u have to find a calorie counter.. itll tell u how much calories u need to eat per day to gain weight aka calorie surplus.

wads ur weight? Im about 62 63 kg n i need to take about almost 3000 kcal per day.. last time used to be around 2500 kcal when around 60kg. find d online calculator to count calories to gain weight. good luck bro biggrin.gif

i've been workout and consume the weight gain almost 1 mth..and been eating more than i use to..and only gained about 1/2 kgs.....beside my pant getting thighter, i dont see any changes...how should i workout properly, as i do not hv a fix set of routine what to workout..i go gym 3 times a week. currenly still 169cm, 56/57kg

nope...i just can't...my work is damn busy everyday.
my daily meal
morning - weighgain plus soy protein plus 200/300ml milk, bihun goreng
lunch - normal lunch, nasi lemak, chicken chop
*if got workout - weightgain plus soy protein plus 200/300ml milk
dinner - rice, or add rice, one egg, orange juice

should i take creatine? because reading some post said creatine will very effective? to gain weight?

Ken, got a question for u. Since u currently on carbs cycling diet, can i know if there is a specific time for u to consume ur carbs and protein and fat? (i mean like during breakfast? dinner? lunch? post pre? )

For my diet now i m consuming carbs only for my breakfast (my preworkout as well), post workout and post post workout meal. and the rest is just protein and fat.

You are not the only one who's busy with work aite. So many others here are working but still manage 5-6 meals a day. Its your diet that's the problem. You shoudn't even worry about supplementation till you get your meals right.

Plus dinner you shoudn't add more carbs, instead add more protein. Read the stickies man.

my 2 cents, your diet seems really dirty. substitute oats for mihun ? change nasi lemak to something else like chicken rice maybe ?

u r on the right track

but on high days - does not seem wise to put everything on bfast, pre , peri and post. I understand u must be following christian thibaudeau carb cycling codex as i recall this is how he does it.

Meal 1: 45g carbs, 25g protein
Meal 2: 45g carbs, 25g protein
Meal 3: 45g carbs, 25g protein
Meal 4: 45g carbs, 25g protein
Meal 5: 45g carbs, 25g protein
Meal 6: 45g carbs, 25g protein
Meal 7: 35g protein, unlimited veggies (no carbs at this meal)

this is how i setup a high carb day for a client and since his goal was to get lean, we limit his carb sources to brown rice, oats, rice cakes to let him stay full longer

Yeah i m following his post on tmuscle. The amount of carbs for post workout is 50% of the total carbs for the day and it works for my cutting phase and now i m try to bulk on this diet. So in my case, i just increase my carbs intake same as my protein intake (1.5 x per lbs of my bodyweight) and the rest of the calories from fat. So during the bulking phase, the carbs that we take besides those pre/post/peri/breakfast wont trigger unnecessary insulin spike and causes fat gain ? (or just minimal as the caloric surplus going on)

try to subsitute bihun with something else, mayb wholemeal bread, oat etc. if possible reduce the amount of rice at nite.
hard to find a lot of protein source from ur meals apart from mayb supplements. increase egg intake.

u can have some fruits/nuts/light snacks during tea break.

hi,

wanna know, is it possible to bulk up in 6 months?

I use to weight lift and take protein shakes. but back then I wasn't doing it properly.

Here's my history, i used to be fat, lost weight from 80++ kg to bout 50kg. then dad said i'm too thin so i started weight lifting and got back to bout 80 kg again. but this time it's not so much of fat.

but the problem is i dun have proper plan and i did not have proper diet. I think i overload with the protein and did not drink enough water. hence i had severe constipation and bleeding( coz berak cut my ass hole lor tongue.gif ) lol so doctor ask me stop taking protein shake.

anyway, i stop working out and stop the protein thing. but i still continue doing diamond push up daily (50 to 100 depends on mood).

my question is, is it possible to bulk up again but this time if i get proper assistance from a trainer. i plan to do it in 6 months. doable o not?

i read that taylor lautner (the twilight guy) bulk up in a year. christian bale (batman) in about 6 months if i'm not mistaken.

so kinda got the idea of trying back. but this time i wanna do it right. haha in terms of dicipline, no worries, i can put in the hours as long as i have proper guidance. i'm currently studying at sunway college and i saw some really buff guys and i kinda envy them. lol


another questions, why do the people i see working out don't have proportionate bodies? i'm not sure if it's an asian thing or not, but i've seen alot of men with huge chest but small arm. or maybe huge bicept but disproportionately smaller shoulder? or sometimes huge arms but flat chest? i'm not talking about those profesional bodybuilders la, coz they memang have superb body dy. i mean those at gyms.

i no need too big of a body. something like mark wahlbergh would be nice.

why 6 months? coz my friend actually came up with the idea to record my progress in a documentary style thing. as a college project. he suggest that we get students from the medical, psychology, business and art faculty to join. why psychology, coz he wanna see what motivates people to push harder or train harder. alot of people stop half way due to many reason. he wants to see the role of a trainer not only as someone who guides but also someone who can offer mental support.

lol that's why he came up with 6 months coz need a proper dateline. his idea is to get free trainer and membership from gyms for that 6 months. hence the need for business students to come up with a marketing plan.

he suggets that i be the subject for this project coz i used to do it the wrong way. he wanna see if proper help from profesionals can make any diference.

why documentary? he says he wanna promote healthy lifestyle among youth. or to inspire them that a nobody can actually achive what he wants if he has the right mental attitude. lol at least that's the reason he gave. i suspect he just wanna get free stuff. lol



anyway, it's just an idea he had. so i thought of sharing it here and wanna know if it is possible to do it. without steroids of course. lol tongue.gif

below is the kind of body i'd like to aim for. haha

don't flame me pls. i kinda noob in this area. so i jus wanna learn more about it.

100% gold standard whey protein is whey protein. not weight gainer.
it doesn't help much in weight gaining.
it's better in building muscles.
there are many brands out there, pls read from page 1, there are already reviews from ppl here.

Skinny people needs weight gainer because they need more calories intake. While other bigger guys best to stick with whey protein not weight gainer because they have enough or extra calories intake for their body.

It is whey protein except it has additional carbohydrate contain.

Muscle juice, BSN true mass, on serious mass are pretty decent brand. I cant comment much as i have never take any of them be4.

gaining weight is not easy for u ecto.
suggestion is, eat as much as u can.
supplement? if got money, then u better buy more solid food.

i jus finished my weight gainer(muscle juice), should i continue on another tube? or should i wait until my wrist recover only continue taking the weight gainer?

my concern is if take weight gainer without workout, lots of them will turn to fats right?

hear it tastes like sh*t? i edi finished my cytogainer and i gained about 1-2kg. i'm looking for another one just to try. any idea wats good for the criterion below:

1. not so sweet
2. doesn't taste like sh*t

It doesn't taste like shit, just not as good as the more expensive weight gainers out there. BSN True Mass is a good one imo, but then its kinda expensive.

try muscle juice 2600, fits ur criteria, the taste is nice when u mix it with oats : ) i always do. Not too bad without.

BTW anyone tried cookie and cream flavor? is it nice compare to choco?

Ingredients
12 oz low fat milk

In times when there simply isn't the time or place to prepare a homemade weight gainer shake, powdered weight gainer > 8 ingredient blended shake.

This. I remember using a similar recipe to this also posted by ken86 at the end of last year. One of the reasons I gained mass so fast. Tasted quite alright too.

I think it took me 5 minutes to put them all in the blender and blend them.

You can always prep ur homemade weight gainer shake with protein powder, oat powder and flaxseed powder instead of the maltodextrin laden weight gainer

Oat powder and flaxseed powder can be homemade by blending them as well from oats and flaxseeds

U r half right. For serious mass u get 1250 cal per serving size of 334g whereas UN Isomass gives 650 cal per serving size of 153g. U do the math.

I just finished 1 Tub of gnc 2000, with improved diet i gained about 0.5-1kg

I recently started going to gym (on weekends only) so I'm wondering whether i should continue taking another tub of gnc2000 or should I go for True-Mass?

My weight is 55 kg now and I'm on the thin side. My arms are small in diameter and I'm looking to add more mass on my body. I'm not particularly looking to build muscles all arnd my body...just more "flesh" ..don't know how to explain tongue.gif

Any recommendations?

Btw, anyone knows if the 40% disc voucher you get when you join as vip member can be used for whey protein as well? or is it just for vitamins?

best weight gainer imho,

chicken breast + rice.

1 whole breast and 1 big bowl of rice for every meal for about 2-3 meals a day is a whole lot cheaper than buying gainers. unless u have a hectic schedule and eating 5 meals seems impossible.. then go for gainers lohh.. just my rm 0.02

It's weird. I understand it's a matter of preference, but it seems there's not much difference in training in a gym with or without air conditioning. One bb'er who did physiology major told me that. Heh... don't really care as long as equipment is complete. But damn i hate sweating.

Bsn Truemass alone is enough. provided if one serving give you 600 calories, 3x a day u will get 1800 calories from supps alone.
the rest shud come from foods.

Gaining muscle while losing fat. This is all in ur diet buddy, and u got to lose overall bodyfat in order for u to lose those bulging looks of ur tummy. There is no such thing as spot reduction.

Somehow our tummy tends to store the most fat, if u compared to our delts, there store less fat.

No, Squat, deadlift, bench press will give u bigger muscle. Ur muscle shrink only if u r in catabolism state.

i was exactly in ur position, hoping the appeton weight gain to be some sort of magical food tat can help me increase a few kilo by just drinking it.
u need to increase ur solid food intake. you need to take real breakfast. then weight gain comes in. if you skip breakfast and only drink weight gain, you are literally flushing the money down the toilet.

my god, so expensive.
i bought cytosport cytogainer 6lbs for ~rm200 and gained 1-2kg, and pvl mutant mass 15lbs for ~rm260 and gained 3-4kg.
mass gainer is a blend of protein, carbs, fats etc, therefore not suprising ur cholestrol level shoots up.

im a thin guy. technically there is no product that will help u gain muscle if u dont workout. thin guys should read up more on how to gain weight by eating more meals a day and working out. the general rule is, eat more calories than your body needs and you will gain weight if you lift weights. but between those 2, i would choose muscle juice.. the other is if u rly have a lotta money.. if u got lotta money better if u eat 3-4 chicken breast meat a day, 1 breast per meal.

Of course, your cholesterol levels increased. Weight gain is full of carb. Carb increases cholesterol levels.
What you gained was mainly fat not muscles. Spent RM300 to gain fat. Eat la Hokkien mee, tastes much better. The best weight gainer in Malaysia. biggrin.gif tongue.gif

BMI is not accurate if you bodybuild. You can stop gaining fats but not muscles. You don't stop gaining muscle mass in bodybuilding coz it is not easy to gain muscles.

ON serious mass + oat + HL chocs flav + white egg + raisins = (blend it together) gain 24 kg within 6 mnths.. before = 61kg.. now= 85kg..aiming another 5 kgs, then cut down to 75 kgs mass muscle..
