Not sure why Olight made the S1 Mini Baton with very weak tail magnet compared to the previous S1 Baton. sad.gif

Yeah I know, I'm a regular shopper there. I'm just trying to find cheaper on the Samsung 50E, but looks like gadgetworld is one of the only places to get them in M'sia now - judging by the amount of units they've sold.

It's almost half the price if bought from reputable international stores, but I guess I'll have to suck it up if I want to buy local

There's one reputable shop in Shopee, but based in Kuching that sells original batteries and flashlight too that some members in Kelab Budget Torchlight in FB frequent.
Can't remember the name though.

Is it Phoenix Outdoor?

https://shopee.com.my/sim1215

If it is, I saw that. Actually it's closer to me too, but problem is they don't stock 50E, only 40T. I want the 50E because it's 1000mah more capacity than 40T. The 30A of the 40T also may make the driver too hot.

I may end up getting from them though, because of the distance and the cheaper price.

I messaged them before on Shopee, but their rep tried to upsell me some off-brand lights I didn't really want and he was quite insisting about it so it kind of turned me off - but they seem to have good collection.

Yes, that's is the shop.
If you really want more runtime, then only the 50E is your choice.
As for the max 30A rated power of 40T, if your flashlight driver comes with temperature control, you shouldn't worry that much

So far no complaint from the local FL community on their purchases from the shop

Update: I managed to order Panasonic 48T's for good price from Sim/Phoenix Outdoor. These seem to be the so-called 'Tesla' 21700 cells, 4800mah and 15A drain, so it's between Samsung 50E and 40T. I think it's a newer cell on the market - rumours have it that they're pulled from Tesla test cars or something. Specs look good so will give it a test when it comes in.

At least the rubber cover is a better solution than the Nitecore TIP which uses the plastic clip as a physical barrier.

IMHO, it doesn't really help because there's still a gap. doh.gif

Battery checker for lithium battery? I just use my liitokala lii202 charger to give me an estimate. Or if I want a full analyzer I use my Lii-500 to test.
Or a multimeter to check voltage to see estimate charge level

Oh NiMH. Honestly those can use the cheap cheap tester will do.
I'm using one of this lazy man battery tester to give a quick test

Not accurate but always usable for rough estimate. Would still recommend to use a multimeter to test battery voltage as estimate. Can always get a cheap cheap multimeter from mr diy. These 2 are the only portable testers I know of.

For more accurate testers I'd still recommend a battery analyzers and charger something like the Liitokala Lii500 or the noisy opus bt-c3100
