By chance I searched in Shopee and found several local sellers.  nod.gif

Yeah I seen those but none of them have any reviews so I'm skeptical. Some of them are listed as local seller but in reality still are overseas sellers...

Yeah, especially those ending with the ".my" at their shop name.  mega_shok.gif

Yup, and they usually got some kind of kpop idol looking profile pic as well sweat.gif

Anyway, the reason I'm asking is because interested in learning to diy/mod flashlight like S2 since I heard it's easy and could be fun. But if it's so slow to get different parts and etc then kind of boring. US ppl got those shop like mt electronic who stock flashlight parts for domestic US customer... just wondering if got such equivalent here in M'sia... confused.gif

Hi guys, I want to start getting into 26650 lights. Have my eyes on a D4sv2, amongst others lust.gif

Is there any reputable local stores (online or offline) that sell good high drain 26650s?

Anyone have any experience buying 26650s from overseas? (if it comes to that...) will it be any issues with local customs?

Flood is way more practical for edc. 99% of the time I never even had a thought of 'I really need a thrower rn', unless it's to show off to a friend lol

Sofirn is good but I haven't tried any of their AA lights.

Their SP10S supposedly gets good reviews especially considering the price.

My current AA 'Headlamp' is Manker E03H - served me well for 1 year + already, really like the moonlight mode.

If you want cheap 1000 lumens better go for Sofirn or Convoy.

Convoy S2+ with SST40 or even Osram if you want to go crazy. Easily hits 1500-2000 lumen and price is below RM60 on AliExp using coupon. You only need to add batt + charger which add up maybe to RM100+ but it's a solid built and no nonsense, just blasting power lumens/

Only thing is u need to wait it ship from oversea.

Sofirn you can go for SC31 Pro - Anduril Firmware and 2000 lumen for abt RM80, tambah a little bit more to RM100 and will ship with battery. Somemore got USB-C charging in the light, no need to buy extra charger.

any recommendation for model using AA battery?

If it’s me I’d just go for Lumintop Tool AA 2.0 in Nichia LED – that would be my choice. Price should be around about RM100 give or take, last time I saw them. A lot cheaper if you buy from overseas. Good balanced beam for EDC uses, straightforward UI. Tailstanding with detachable diffuser cap. Looks nice, very lightweight. IPX8 – good waterproofing. Can take 14500 cell if you want more burst of power (almost 700 lumen). Unfortunately as I look around online most shops seem to be out of stock for this model.

Olight i5t is a popular choice if you don’t mind the cooler white light, which many don’t mind – but I prefer neutral or warmer coloured light myself. It’s a bit more expensive than the lumintop. Price is about RM120-140 around there. Olight has their own unique design aesthetic.

For more budget minded you can go for Thrunite. Dependable brand for the price. Recommended model is T10 II – good built and firefly mode (low lumen setting). RM85 I saw on Gadgetworld2u. They also got a bit higher-end model called Archer 1A 3.0 – I didn’t try it myself yet but got good reviews.

I haven’t owned the Thrunites but they get good reviews.

If you want save more budget can try buying from AliExp – use their official stores. In general the prices may be cheaper, but it’s not always the case. Sometimes I found that local shop prices is almost exactly the same as buying from the AE China-based store prices.

Yeah I know, I'm a regular shopper there. I'm just trying to find cheaper on the Samsung 50E, but looks like gadgetworld is one of the only places to get them in M'sia now - judging by the amount of units they've sold.

It's almost half the price if bought from reputable international stores, but I guess I'll have to suck it up if I want to buy local

There's one reputable shop in Shopee, but based in Kuching that sells original batteries and flashlight too that some members in Kelab Budget Torchlight in FB frequent.
Can't remember the name though.

Is it Phoenix Outdoor?

https://shopee.com.my/sim1215

If it is, I saw that. Actually it's closer to me too, but problem is they don't stock 50E, only 40T. I want the 50E because it's 1000mah more capacity than 40T. The 30A of the 40T also may make the driver too hot.

I may end up getting from them though, because of the distance and the cheaper price.

I messaged them before on Shopee, but their rep tried to upsell me some off-brand lights I didn't really want and he was quite insisting about it so it kind of turned me off - but they seem to have good collection.
