Hi guys, I want to start getting into 26650 lights. Have my eyes on a D4sv2, amongst others
Is there any reputable local stores (online or offline) that sell good high drain 26650s? Anyone have any experience buying 26650s from overseas? (if it comes to that...) will it be any issues with local customs? |

Close up work inspections?Manker E03H Thrunite TH20 Or any other suggestion and why ? Thanks AA headlamps are not really practical but they benefit in weight. Why not 18650 size headlamps? I'd go YLP Panda 2m if I am getting a headlamp myself. I would recommend your Manker E03H but the amount of people having issues with it not working out of nowhere is my reason to stop you from getting one. Thrunite TH20 is good if you ok with a little throw. Definitely not for close up work. For the size if you are using just for normal walks then the Nitecore NU20 is a good rechargeable all in one lightweight headlamp. Downside is non removable battery. And lastly the Sofirn SP40 with 18350 battery is the most ideal package imo for price to performance. |

This usage is more towards close up 1-2 meter kinds of usage: work/camping and maybe hiking (just to look at the ground in front of me where I'm walkking). Not for long distance throw as I'll prefer to get a bigger capacity/performance for that (BTW, any recommendation ?)AA headlamps are not really practical but they benefit in weight. That's just my consideration, have been thinking about Thrunite TH30 or any latest equivalent. 18650 also requires charging directly which means cannot use. Unless I spend additional cost for accessories and spare batteries for external charging. Also defeats the purpose of charging direct already. FYI, currently using Eneloop Pro AA and AAA for some other devices. If I'm going 18650/26650, then will seriously need to consider investing on spare batteries + external chargers. Thanks |

Nothing else offer a better price to performance than TH20.18650 although last much longer like 3x AA, but it is heavier as a headlamp. Thanks There isn't much new updates in AA headlamps since last 2 years but headlamps been killing the 18650 realm almost every year If you want a good thrower, the SP40 is a good budget start for headlamp since it also comes with USB charger built in. There's the Skilhunt H03F but they're kinda old by now. Skip the headlamp feature can get you a Convoy C8 on XP-L Hi Or Sofirn SP31 V2.0 for an all rounder duty handheld light This post has been edited by power911: Mar 31 2020, 12:40 PM |

Hello guys. Just thought to share a new light I just bought : Nicron B22.
It's a zoomie penlight. 120 lumens. No modes or anything, just on and off. Spec says CRI is 95 but did not specify LED model. It's surprisingly sturdy and feels good in the hand for it's relatively affordable price of around RM4X. But I must say I am not used to 120 lumens which is not very bright even when zoomed in (then again I am used to higher lumen lights). In a sense it's an inspection light and perhaps only bright enough for inspecting things up close. The lens is convex so the beam pattern is well spread out, which is the reason why I bought this light to try out. Turns out paint inspection lighting have very different requirements compared to normal lighting usage. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by V429: May 15 2020, 12:10 AM |

I bought it for RM152 for the 5000K XP-L HI Only light. No other accessories. If you are buying maybe consider adding turboglow in your cart. Very interesting addition Can ramp from moonlight to high with just a single press. The only minus thing that I can think of is that it doesn't provide USB charging |

Unless I'm out for evening walks which I shouldn't do since the annoying virus still floating in air |
