get a flexible 10000mah powerbank, flexible usb cable... and stick a tini in icon_idea.gif

TINI cannot do large area illumination. Plus having several 18650 batteries means i can swap the batteries of my torchlight & headlamp in case anything happen. Also LR50 works as charger & only need to steal power from my mates tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

The ony reason why I was reluctant to buy is the proprietary battery issue.  sad.gif    cry.gif

that was one of my primary concerns before i decided to pull the trigger. the s2r ii was a very very close contender but it also uses customised batteries. so on that note, they both tied. klarus loss out on runtime since s2r ii had 3200 mah batteries compared to klarus' measly 2600 mah batteries (they really should have provided for a 3600mah option) and is that wee bit longer with the clicky switch... but its also that clicky switch that won me over. the klarus also looks sleek with its mild knurling compared to the the s2r ii's chunky knurling, but i suppose that's a personal preference (admittedly, the grip isn't great when paired with the clicky switch... but it's enough). sweat.gif

Agreed on both torchlight are that close.

Klarus paddle switch is really unique! thumbsup.gif

And yeah, Klarus should have given a better battery than the included 2,600mAh. doh.gif grumble.gif

all advertising scam...this 18days is at 2 lumens.
got other lights 3 months run time! at 0.03 lumens or something...and they use 14500 / AA...no need worry about proprietary tongue.gif

end of the day it boils down to the level that you're most likely to use and imo in a tent, 100l is more than enough... as is the 400l for walkabout. hence, comparing the two:

s2r ii v e1
@ 120l: 14 hr v 14.5h
@ 400l 4.5h v 3.4h

so going by the official specs alone, you win some, you lose some (although at s2r ii's price level, had the klarus shipped with the 3600mah battery, it would have blown the competition out of the water!)

yups... not really suitable for aaa, but the 10180 seems ideal, no? the little clip-ons should have built-in side shields to keep the glare aware icon_idea.gif

it's a six sleeper tent... and no, i don't use 100l. most times i hang my s1r turbo s with the traffic wand attached @ 60l if i need to do some reading. otherwise the 12l is more than sufficient (rated for 33h). has served me well thus far. for my general walkabout, i have my trusty manker u12. the engineering mode works great in that you can adjust the brightness to suit your needs... or prolong runtime. and yes, i have a keychain light hanging on my backpack running on aaa. guess one is never enough sweat.gif

akan datang... the i1r2 eos. what i find strange is that although it pushes 20l more, it seems to be a downgrade from its predecessor in the sense that:

(i) smaller battery capacity (70mah vs 80mah);
(ii) lesser throw (40m v 54m)
(iii) lesser light intensity (400cd v 730cd)
(iv) less stamina (@ max 15m v 20m; @ 5l 6h v 7h)
(v) fractionally heavier (13g v 12g)
(vi) fractionally bigger

so what gives??? confused.gif

(waiting for rookiedaddy's enlightenment)
