I see, maybe a warm or a neutral white can help you better in foggy situation. Not so sure it'll meet your 100-150m requirements, but the TK20 has a slightly warmer neutral white tone and a tight hotspot. Haven't check out the E21 myself yet.

I have little experience in thick foggy situation, but if your eyes are night adapted, any type of light color, warm, neutral or cool white can blind you from the fog's reflection regardless, when switched on with more than 100 lumens. I read that warm has a better penetration because the light's spectrum does not disperse too much in the fog. There are not many warm LED throwers. Closest I can find and available is the TK20.

There’s a Quark Turbo 123^2 Warm White, but I don’t think that’s available anymore. You can check it out with Polkiuj.

Fog is saturated water particles in air. There's not much you can do about that. Fog lights on cars are usually mounted low and are the yellowish halogen types to penetrate fog. Blue-ish LED are the worst for this situation. The French use yellow fog lights for that purpose.

The French originally came up with yellow headlights for tactical purposes - it was to identify the nationality of the vehicle and differentiate them from invaders wink.gif

Any particular reason you are looking for an HID? Maybe you can also consider some of the later model LED lights. Of course, that'll depend on your needs, budget and desires biggrin.gif

If you really want something that powerful with size not being a concern then the Stanley HID is definitely the way to go. But u gotta change the stock bulb as it's very white.
