I think we should have a list of TMPoint which people successful registered and done everything complete on the first post.

Eh, take my suggestion, you go for and apply 1mbps and then take the lappy, after that you only decide whether you want 4mbps or not. Because the reason is, 4mbps need to check location availability and it take quite long time to tested out whether your house can support or not, or maybe the TM technician is efficient or not to do their job.

Okay, lets make things clear.
1) You got your TMHomeLine and Streamyx also both under your mom name? So if YES. Go to no.2
2) Go and apply another NEW TMHomeLine and the CoolUniPack, everything should be done in either 1/2weeks.
3) Everyone can use have as many home line as they want, but the things is, you have to find out from the TM whether your house are able to support 2 home line or above or not.
4) As for rewiring or paying other things, not sure for this case. But I'm sure you need to pay the TMHomeLine money and stuff. Refer to no.5
5) When the TM Contractor come and set the NEW TMHomeLine for you, after done everything at your house, you have pay him straight away by CASH in RM50. Correct me if I'm wrong. After that, first bill should be come with RM75 Phone Deposit and another RM10 Stamp Duty.
6) Document(minimum require) which is the, Student ID, IC and Chop at the Streamyx Registration Form(this is my case).

they go to ur hse not only to pass the modem to u but also to help you activate ur line and setup the basic wireless for u. they will call up to telekom for streeamyx activation during installation.

actually there are 2 things

1. line - done by TM (they call it DSL jumpering)

2. account - done by installer / or auto activate (for SIB package)

Ya,i just settle there. But i register as new application. Wait until it approve then only terminate the current homeline and streamyx.

Just to confirm, those people who regsiter early with "higher price" is it will automatic enjoy the "lower price" in the coming months ?

Eg: last times 1 mbps is RM 80, now is RM 68.

Can I ask another person to use my form to subscribe for me? Do I need to go TMpoint myself to submit the form? I want to send my form back to my hometown so my family can help me submit and apply there.

7-4-2010 Submit new application for TM Homeline and Streamyx, both under my name.

8-4-2010 TM contractors came to my house and installed the new TM Homeline. At night I called to 100 service line and been told that 10th April the Streamyx contractor will come and do the installation for me.

10-4-2010 Called to 100 service line again and get the latest status from them. Been informed that Encik Rahman is the installer and got his handphone number. Called to that handphone number, Encik Rahman nicely explained to me that today he can't make it because he have to come to my house to do some upgrading in order to get 4MB, and some people not working today so that he can't do the service for me. He will contact me again in the coming Tuesday to do the installation and upgrading. He also admitted that the order form that under my name and MIPS order name is now in his hand so no worry.

13-4-2010 Streamyx technician came to me home and received bad news from him, but learned new knowledge, story goes below:

384kbps, 512kbps and 1mbps are using ADSL_G.dmt port, which is different from higher package. Packages such as 2mbps, 4mbps or higher are using ADSL 2+ port. Even you can get 15 above SNR for your ADSL_G.dmt port, there's no gurantee for you that you can get 15 above SNR for your ADSL 2+ port. Just like my case, my ADSL_G.dmt port can get 22db to 29db SNR at any time. While switch to new TM Homeline that is running ADSL 2+ and capped at 5mbps, my SNR goes down to 9db, which is really bad and cannot support 4mbps. To support 4mbps, you must have at least => 15db of SNR and =< 40db Attenuation. So even the TM point service people tell you that your area can support 4mbps, you still have to go to the 2nd level of checking, that will be done by the Streamyx technician.

Now I am suspecting that my new TM Homeline is having problem in between the copper line and the phone post in front of my house. Already called the contractor and tomorrow they will come and have a look at the phone post, then do the fixing. I just hope after the fixing, I can get 15db and above for my SNR so that I can install 4mbps.

Hmm, what about certified photocopy of I/C and Student Card? Can they use to submit instead of using my ori IC?

Certify your IC and student card is better, they don't need to call or check anything like me. I certified both document and I get the Streamyx technician to me within 3 days.

Check the unofficial 4Mbps user club in this forum section, a lot people asking that question.

I mean can they use the certified photocopy instead of my real I/C for submission?
