Hi Christ, i spoke to Mr. Arul on this issue during TT and he's going to see if there's a solution to this. He said might need to take out the whole thing and check if any defect or problem. Hope he'll update in FB soon.

Cheers.

Hello, everyone. I found a forum that listed the Technical Service Bulletin and 'revealed' something might useful to us, including Forte Sedan Front & rear door Skin rattle noise. Here is the URL:

http://www.kia-forums.com/kia-forte-cerato...-bulletins.html

Else included are:

PCM Upgrade "Reverse" Position RPM Improvement (SA018) (Engine - 058)
PCM Upgrade - Shift Hesitation and Shift Delay Improvement with 2.0L and 4 Speed A/T (SA020) (Trans - 030)
Fuel Cap Replacement On 2010 Forte (SA023) (FUEL 017) <-- check korangnyer fuel cap. updated tak?

Forte Sedan Front and Rear Door Skin Rattle Noise (Body - 050)
Driveshaft Housing and Transaxle Oil Seal Inspection and Replacement (SA011) (TRANS - 026)
Constant Variable Valve Timing Oil Control Valve Inspection (Engine - 046)

Plus, I found about Forte transmission problem occurs at after 6900miles issue here:

http://www.kia-forums.com/kia-forte-cerato...blem-maybe.html

To those who already got their Forte, any findings yet?

5 minutes to go for Driven  rclxms.gif  BTW, I have just tested the shiftronic and when the power in 2nd gear is CARGASMIC drool.gif  drool.gif  drool.gif . I just want to ask what are the ideal or recommended speed and rpm for each gear (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th). Sorry if sounding like a noob but I never had a manual car and I do not want to spoil the gearbox with my abuse and lack of knowledge on the shiftronic function  icon_question.gif
*
Notice the red markings at the 30kmh and 50kmh? That's roughly the speeds where the auto box upshifts (30 for 2->3 and 50 for 3-4). However when using shift-tronic it's better to upshift from 2nd to 3rd at 40kmh and 55-60kmh for 3rd to 4th for smooth shifting yet maintaining some degree of torque. For more acceleration, upshift from 3rd to 4th at 60-70kmh...

The shiftronic doesn't allow upshifts from 2nd to 3rd if your speed is less than 30kmh or 3rd to 4th if <50kmh despite moving the stick manually. Which makes sense anyway - no point using 4th gear when you're rolling at 40kmh.

You can of course upshift at higher rpms say 3500 to 4000 or even higher. That way you get much more acceleration especially on highways but for normal urban driving smooth and steady is what you're looking for.

hehe. my take on the hidden message... no harm putting nitrogen into ur tyres. really up to u as mentioned by the guys.

see, 110km use 300ml less fuel. one full tank, if got 440km, u'll save a bout 1 liter of fuel (shell fuel saver anyone? tongue.gif)

tyre pressue will go down 1.5psi in 6 months. in simple & plain calculation let's say 1 month u pump 2 full tanks. in 6 months time that's 12 liter of fuel saved. more or less the cost of ur initial 20 bucks nitrogen gas.

the hidden savings if ur tyre is less prone to oxidation - unknown but sooner or later u'll change ur tyre anyway.

to put in N2 or not.... up to u la... no big deal icon_rolleyes.gif

by the way the tyre shop pumped 34 psi into my tyre instead of the recommended 32 psi. does it help in FC?

Most probably it will void the warranty for the wiring part. So better check if there's a authorized KIA accessories centre to do all this things. I will check with my SA for the authorized KIA accessories centre.

For 2.0 owners, i guess non of the issues above involved since that our cars were produced on February this year. I believed all these issues already been rectified during production..hopefully unsure.gif
