Thanks mate! I'm still thinking should I update mine to iOS4. A bit worried and might regret updating it and unable to downgrade to the old OS which is currently working very fine.

it's weird that they put that setting there.. it was like irrelevant with the iPod navigation..  rclxub.gif

actually i'm ok with the iPod in landscape mode, just that while i was trying to text on bed then it'll be quite annoying..
so for me this setting is more useful in text message..
putting this setting in setting > general would be more appropriate..
because that was the first place i was searching for it just now..  tongue.gif

You don't have to launch iPod first. You can just simply double-tap the home button from anywhere, and flick to the left to access the orientation control.

It's much more convenient to have the orientation lock there because it provides faster access, as compared to putting it in Settings.

jz go ahead and update.os4 is superior in many ways compared to 3,no turning back tongue.gif

i jz successfully uploaded all my pic and photos into comp using a software thanks to google, and sync it again

the wallpapers are clear agn now,so clearly there's no reso increase involved,jz a strange bug i guess tongue.gif

Alright! I really worried on the battery too.

Urs photos unable to upload to ur computer early? Why? I thought able once we plug in to the computer.

By the way, what software u using for get all the pix all from ur iPhone? Have a friend, whose photos unable to take it out all the while except email it to email and copy from there.

Yeap, it's definitely faster though i don't seem to have the pic-seems-smaller bug.

Anyone knows how to delete apps? Nt really the same with the previous firmware. The "x" is gone.

Are you on ios 4?

i decided to update my firmware..curiosity killed the cat..tongue.gif

my oh my Steve Jobs may have winner here....its worth staying up late to get the firmware updated! Im on iOS4 now...new feature i noticed its the Spotlight search under Settings>General>Spotlight

You can configure what you want Spotlight to search specifically.and the new mailbox feature is so clean and simple as well!

but the most noticeable difference of it all is how snappy the interface is after the update! and i wonder how snappier it'll be with iPhone 4

Mine is an unjailbroken I3GS no issues whatsoever with updating or post update...everything is there as its supposed to be and works fine as its supposed to...

those on V3 with UnJB-ed iPhones...its a highly recommended firmware to upgrade to! I had my doubts but boy I'm not regretting the update! rclxms.gif

though it seems like more of the issues reported here are with JB'ed Phones?.. hmm.gif .though i might be wrong...

EDIT:

More new function with Wallpaper

can set 1 for Home Screen and 1 For Lock Screen and you can preview them under Settings>Wallpaper
