Maybe 3GS back camera really doesn't support video streaming as skype also can't make it support for video calls.

still if its included in ios4 for 3gs,of coz i would welcome it

Really dun understand why iPhone 4 dun wanna implement the "normal" 3G video call since it already put a front camera in it..
This make it impossible to call video call to older phones..

what do u mean normal hmm.gif, its a well known fact that 3G video call on current infrastructure is crappy, and taxing on the telco side, they have to invest on their infrastructure till then even my old nokias with front facing cameras cant have enjoyable level of quality.

I've been watching the official demo of FaceTime of iPhone 4 on YouTube, the reason video call looks good on it might be because of the 'retina display'.

is not that they don't want to do it... i think APPLE already mentioned WIFI FACE2FACE only in 2010. and they are still working on the video call via EDGE/3G/4G smile.gif

it doesnt have anything to do with the retina display. if the video signal is bad, it'll look bad on any display. the quality is quite good probably because it's over wifi. it looked like iChat-quality to me, which is of course much better than standard 3g videocall.

but then comparing the quality is moot until we get to test FT on malaysian 3G network, whenever we're able to

what's so professional about cutting a SIM? i admit i never did it myself, but it shouldn't be hard

anyway, still no photo samples in low light? a comparison between 3gs would be great

if you ask me and IMHO, apple isn't (still) working on the video calling over the cellular carrier; i believe the option is already there.

just that apple has to keep pacifying AT&T feeble network over at the states. try watching the WWDC again, each time an event/issue is related to the network, you can feel steve jobs' sarcasm immediately.

if apple would have enabled video calling upon the release of iPhone 4 over at the states, the entire network would crumble i reckon.
