Initially I wanted to post my findings on the different Blu-Ray playback softwares like ArcSoft's TMT3, Cyberlink PowerDVD 10 and Intervideo WinDVD BD version, but realize it's gonna encourage people to pirate them instead of getting legit copies.

Cut things short: the Intervideo WinDVD version that comes with the IOData external drive I bought in Tokyo isn't that good. Jerky playback when skipping to chapters on the BD. PowerDVD is better, and thankfully it's included with the M11X, so everyone don't have to pirate it. rolleyes.gif PowerDVD 10 is better though, with multiple codec support including RMVB and M2TS containers.

Those balls are called Cool Ball, can be found at all Machines branches. There are three different kinds, one with heat-activated adhesive, velcro and velcro with screw-on. Get the one with the heat-activated adhesive, no sticky residue and I used it on my MBA nicely. Cheap and cheerful at RM39. The metal Cool Balls are a bit more expensive at RM45.

See? Even if we do disagree, no reason for me to not help others when they are in need. Or ignore anyone for that matter.

I don have the luxury to use Alienware Mouse ,alienware Keyboard ,Alienware Mouse
and not even razer stuff..I can only dream using Razer Mamba
But i surely proud of my Downloaded game from Steam laugh.gif
sometimes u don have to buy 1st release copy,if "u can't afford them"
For me I waited for the price to go down..
exp. now I can get Splinter Cell:double agent for USD9.99 (rm35) ..the moment i've been waiting for rclxms.gif
i know most of u played them already ..but better late then never right.

If only those feets, you need to go for Ace Hardware or Ikea at the Hardware section to look for adhesive part that you stick at the bottom of the table legs.

There is no such thing as too slippery for a mouse. You'd want the surface between your mouse and the mouse pad to be of little friction as possible, so that you dont tire yourself exerting too much energy moving on friction surfaces. It may feel weird, but advantageous at higher competitive level.

sad to say that at least 50% of my games and software are pirated, but if the games are good and support multiplayer mode, i'll definitely go ori. even so, i do not go around preaching what i don't practice. nor do i go around advertising my jack sparrow collection.

lastly, please do not feed the trollz.

Thinking of getting this:
http://accessories.ap.dell.com/sna/product...1&sku=570-10816

It's black, its bluetooth and its surprisingly cheap for a bluetooth mouse.

stringfellow is right. you can get them from IKEA. they will leave glue marks residues unfortunately. hence, I'm using them to make sure my MBP doesn't come in contact with another hard surface.

to cool down my MBP and for a better ventilation, I will personally recommend this one (see attached pictures). the 'balls' are a little too slippery for my liking.

got question regarding the Alienware TactX mouse..does the profiles that u can customize only apply on games? i mean can u use it and customize the profiles @ buttons to be some sort of hotkey for other programs too? like productivity programs or maybe photoshop?

which is better? the tactX or the mamba?

p/s: i've seen a dude using the triangle rubber (that use to prevent doors from closing) to create some gap between the desk & the laptop. it does the work well sweat.gif

Just one day off from here and I'm back by a few pages. I hope you guys are done with all the topics which could have been discussed in another thread... I understand the concerns being voiced here. Sometimes all we can do is voice out our opinions and try as we may we just can't convince the other party of our view. Lets keep this thread for ourselves and leave the thinly veiled attacks to the GAMERS thread or kopitiam in a bid to prolong the lifespan of our ALIENWARE thread. I respect those who speak up really, Stringfellow, Nokia,Emino, Azurika,Michael etc..... but I hope we can move on from here.... Thanks guys... icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm all for discussion, but I believe in "cause and effect". I did not responded a single thing when those previous post on asking for cracks for SRS LAbs, although my usual response would be to report those posts to the mods because of its nature of breaching of R&R here. I gave it leeway because I thought the whole thing about asking for cracks and all would just die down, and was just a short distraction from other more prudent topics to talk about. But when I was scoffed and pushed later about "why buy Blu-ray, when can download?" and that preposterous notion of "who needs antivirus?" when they aren't capable of even controlling themselves from downloading from shady sources, I had to do something. Check my posts, I had not say a single word, until those remarks were posted. Cause and effect. You poked, but at first I left it alone. But poke me harder,I'll poke you back.

Let's move on. And please be more professional and classier than your average laptop owner. No point posting pictures of three Alienwares you have but posting proudly of the cracks you have, and even offering them here. shakehead.gif
