QUOTE(Arlington @ Mar 27 2010, 10:28 PM) Go here YouTube speedtest and click on the "Show Test Video" +1On my 1.0 Mb connection I'm getting between .02 Mb - .1 Mb while streaming the video. The throttling on youtube is ridiculous. If you're going to throttle at least throttle it to something where the users can still use youtube. You're forcing people to give up on legal sources of video. Watching a youtube video without waiting should be a minimum standard for a connection even as low as 1.0 Mb Will post test results when / if my unifi arrives! the speed that we are getting for youtube is unacceptable. |

lol it really doesn't matter if TM kena boycott or not. You guys boycott then those who DO subscribe don't have to worry about too much users flooding the network.
Anyway you cut it some party is gonna benefit. Btw, those who subscribe early gets to choose the good phone numbers. |

Streamyx will finally not be congested, and it will be cheaper Anyway you cut it some party is gonna benefit. Btw, those who subscribe early gets to choose the good phone numbers. The upload speeds are scary. They say its symmetrical , the speeds should be 3-4Mbps for upload (assuming you're with thee 5Mbps package). I'll only agree with TM (on imposing a cap) provided that they can give me a good service with UniFi - otherwise there is no point - its back to square

I remember last time TM wasn't monopolizing the dial-up market. We had Jaring, and TIME. That was a good time when WE had the choice which service to use.

I'll only agree with TM (on imposing a cap) provided that they can give me a good service with UniFi - otherwise there is no point - its back to square dont be so sure that with implementation of usage allowances - caps things will get a lot better. tm only has to provide 70% of the advertised speed TO A LOCAL server as mandated by mcmc. (Source) with the bar set so low and totally ignoring link performance to the outside world, i have a bad feeling it will be streamyx v2 but with caps. how can this be? "...There have been some comments by industry players about a former regulator coming to sit on the board of TM. In July, TM appointed Datuk Halim Shafie as its chairman. Halim had served as chairman of MCMC for four years..." |
