If the rumoured pricings are indeed real, 5Mbps - RM150, 60GB cap... I might as well pay for the Streamyx Combo - 4Mbps - RM160, unlimited!

unify.my website down again?

They're using Joomla for their website? TMNet... Joomla?! And they even forgot to switch on SEO. Wow. Sounds like someone had to whip up a website 24 hours ago.

ROFL, see their "Not sure which package suits you best?" question!! It's epic

Q1: How much are you willing to spend:-

  1. RM150 and below
  2. RM151 - RM199
  3. RM200 and above

The rest of the questions are useless. They recommend the package based on the first question ONLY.

Even funnier... I selected that I'm willing to spend RM150 and below... then I selected "Internet Gaming", "8 Hours" and sharing with "3-4 people including me"... They recommended the RM250 package!

I'd say making local and international bandwidth contribute to your cap is common practice (in most countries, at least). It would be nice if they provide some local download servers that are "free bandwidth", but hey, I guess we can't expect much from TM, right?

The more important question: Does anybody know if upload bandwidth contributes to the cap?

Yeap, i called twice, and telling i doing lot of files transfer for singapore/malaysia and she say put me on hold for a while as she need to ask supervisor.

after she told me both also included, i nothing to say.

now i rather register my house address as my company address, and register it.

save all the hassle...get rm199 sme package better.
*
You're right... RM199 for 5Mbps SME package... no caps! More worth it than a 10Mbps connection with 90GB cap.

Really, just don't subscribe for now if you think it's not worth it. It'll make TM revise their price and packages.
*
It's not gonna work. People keep complaining and tell others to boycott... but they still subscribe in the end. Look at the COD:MW2 boycott. Heh.

I know the download caps don't sound fun at all. But is anyone else excited about the symmetrical connection? 5Mbps unlimited upload speed! I can now host game and web servers!

And keeping my torrent ratio at 1.0 won't be a problem anymore...

Actually, by now we should be maju already. I think you know why we're not laugh.gif
You'll hit your cap laugh.gif

Well, at least uploading won't make me hit my upload cap...

Download cap 60GB sounds damn sad la... but anyways I don't think I download that much in a month. Even if I download/stream 2GB of movies per day, I won't even have enough free time to be able to watch that much.

Downloading games on Steam however would definitely hit my daily cap (if the daily cap thing is true) sad.gif
