Someone needs to verify this. I am not sure if the 24 months starts from the day you sign up or from after the 3 months. It should be after the 3 months since it is called try and buy. I try for 3 months, then I decide if I want to buy or not. But since it is TM, please verify carefully first.
*
Where do you get this try and buy thingy? I think someone did mentioned about it but it's for SME, not for residential. And for beta tester as well. Unifi has already been launched so obviously if you subscribe now, you won't be a beta tester. You'll be a new customer. But correct me if I'm wrong, anyone.

It doesn't sound logic that TMnut gives you 3 months free subscription but you'll be trapped with 24 months contract. But this's TMnut, anything non-sense also can happen.
*
It's like Digi broadband promotion. You get one month free if you sign up (don't have to pay 1st month) but the duration of the contract is 1 year.

For voice line, it seems you cannot retain your existing number. Because different technologies. Its only a number, surely there is a way to get the system or exchange etc to use the same number. So if you want your old number, you have to continue paying your regular phone line too. Or get a new number. If you decide to cancel Unifi for some reason, you also lose that new number and have to apply a regular number again.

For IPTV, later if they have premium channels, you would have to pay extra to purchase shows (like a season of a particular show). How much? Don't know yet. Video on demand also needs to be purchased. How much? Don't know yet. Something to do with purchasing points and using that to get what you want. How much? Don't know yet. How to signup if most information not available?

IMO, there should be a Unifi Internet package with voice, IPTV etc being optional add-ons.

It does seem that this has been rushed to cater to the launch yesterday. New products will of course have teething problems. But hasn't anyone at TM figured out over the past few months that users will ask such questions and prepared for it?

The installation fees for Unifi is around RM300, this's the one of the benefit for those who subscribe before July. In future I think the installation fee will be around that price range since there're a lot of works to do during installation.

now mobile network are widely available and mobile phone nowadays are so cheap..
does people still care about the fixed line??
IPTV is only good when it comes free just like our normal TV channel
they can't compete with astro although astro sucks when it rains but the channel that available on astro is so much and I don't believe that TM can offer that much variety and stay compete...

I can't find it on their site. Can anyone? The customer service is closed, so I cannot verify again. Earlier they told me that it is try and buy for 3 months.

I could only find this. It is mentioned in the 1st paragraph that the subscription is waived til Jun.

RM 3876 for 2 years

1 year = 365 , 2 years 730

so 1 day = 3876 ÷ 730 = RM 5.31 per day

RM 5.31 per day

I was just saying that it is something to be aware of. There are still people who use their fixed line, maybe all their family and friends have the number or etc. Also I wonder how a company would deal with a phone number change? Unless TM can retain the number of those packages.

u read the T&C even more...
they can even change the T&C without notify us..

something like they retain the right to make amendment to the T&C with prior notice to us....
u gonna have to agree with that if u wish to sign up..
this is how they work..
