For voice line, it seems you cannot retain your existing number. Because different technologies. Its only a number, surely there is a way to get the system or exchange etc to use the same number. So if you want your old number, you have to continue paying your regular phone line too. Or get a new number. If you decide to cancel Unifi for some reason, you also lose that new number and have to apply a regular number again.
For IPTV, later if they have premium channels, you would have to pay extra to purchase shows (like a season of a particular show). How much? Don't know yet. Video on demand also needs to be purchased. How much? Don't know yet. Something to do with purchasing points and using that to get what you want. How much? Don't know yet. How to signup if most information not available?
IMO, there should be a Unifi Internet package with voice, IPTV etc being optional add-ons.
It does seem that this has been rushed to cater to the launch yesterday. New products will of course have teething problems. But hasn't anyone at TM figured out over the past few months that users will ask such questions and prepared for it?
now mobile network are widely available and mobile phone nowadays are so cheap..
does people still care about the fixed line??
IPTV is only good when it comes free just like our normal TV channel
they can't compete with astro although astro sucks when it rains but the channel that available on astro is so much and I don't believe that TM can offer that much variety and stay compete...
