CATS shd not be turned on if u want good PQ...

bro, would this apply to all the other picture enchancement features as well? e.g. image enhancer, motion-flow, etc. I have all these features turned OFF on mine, the thinking being I want the display to be as "pure" to the source as possible (if that makes sense!).

For BD, turn all off. They don't actually preserve the image too well.

For SD sources u might want to experiment to see depending on the source.

Thanks bro. Most of my source is HD, so that's fine.

Now just need to get rid of that pesky station logo IR .... watching football on HD channels (3 games back to back on Saturdays) is taking its toll. lol.

CATS for the V20 makes the tone darker on dim ambience but i find it rather useful during daytime viewing as it somehow makes the panel bright and vibrant with more color depth

do i saw something wrong

Hi anfieldude,

Any preferred or reference settings (simply by adjusting Modes' contrast, brightness ...including the Professional isfccc setting, etc.) particularly for V20 before and after break-in period (before Calibration) based on your latest findings?

Thanks a lot.

No. If its early in its life, I would just take the normal precautions of not using prolonger hours with static images.

TrueCinema or Pro mode shd be ok to use. Pro shd be slightly better out of box.

While I do like Panasonic's Plasma, I find even LG have more trendy and fashionable bezel.

Well, LG may be more contemporary & fancy look, while Panny more towards classic & elegant look (especially V20 that denied the ordinary black bezel). Anyway, it solely depends on each individual preference and taste on the appearance. Thanks.

I would put it this way. Panasonic looks like.....well.....a flat panel TV.

A LG well.....less like a TV....more like a sheet of glass that somehow were able to show pictures.

im gonna wait v20 to come with black bezel. the grey its actually abit distracting bcoz black bezel is the one to give best contrast to the display
